CunchoAt the behest of the Stipendiary Steward, a Stewards’ enquiry was held. In that, soon after the start, and before passing Red marker CUNCHO (KundanPaswan) (drawn 9) shifted in rapidly and jostled with MISS HIEGL (Sameer Qureshi) due to which Jockey Sameer Qureshi was unbalanced and was dislodged. The Stewards interviewed the concerned Jockeys and having considered the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their own observation of the incident, the Stewards charged Jockey Kundan Paswan with Dangerous Riding and resolved to disqualify CUNCHO.
Golden CoastDue to the fallen Rider in the above incident, Jockey G S Shekhawat (GOLDEN COAST) and later, Jockey Narain Singh (ASHWA GAURAVI) took evasive action with their respective mounts to avoid colliding with the fallen Rider. Jockey Md Asif Khan (CHERAMI) reported that his mount threw its head up as the start was effected. On questioning, Jockey G S Shekhawat (GOLDEN COAST) stated that his mount was trying to drift out from 500 metres to 350 metres, due to which he had to control his mount. Trainer Magan Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.
Smile Of LoveJockey Rajinder Saini (SMILE OF LOVE) drifted out soon after the start and went on to ADELAIDE (S A Shah). Jockey Rajinder Saini reported that after the start, his mount ran unsettled and erratic during the race. Trainer Magan Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.
Organic GamblerJockey Nazim (GAMBLER RETURNS) has been reprimanded for not being vigorous with his riding effort during the race. GAMBLER RETURNS (Nazim) was ridden in check in the final stages of the race.

2 (140) THE GOOD HANDICAPPING PLATE (DIV-II)

GentlewaveIn view of the withdrawal of GENTLEWAVE, no deduction on win & place bet was effected. GENTLEWAVE (R Rakesh) was examined by the Club’s Veterinary Officer at the starting gate and was found to be lame by its left fore leg, as such, it was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Trainer Rajinder has been asked to produce a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to presenting his charge for any future trial or race.
ZaroonApproaching 800 metres, ZAROON (Md Asif Khan) shifted out and carried FLORI DE CAMA (Sameer Qureshi) outwards for a few strides.
LoveableJockeys M B Qureshi (LOVEABLE), Sameer Qureshi (FLORI DI CAMA) and D Kumar (NEBULOUS) have been cautioned for failing to take advantageous position in the early part of the race.
ComprehensiveJockey Jai Parkash (COMPREHENSIVE) was questioned regarding his riding and he stated that he was instructed to be in position 5th/6th and to do his best in the straight. He added that his mount was not responding to his urgings. Not being satisfied the explanation by the Jockey, he was cautioned for not being vigorous during the race whereby he was unable to take an advantageous position.

3 (141) THE CLOSE FINISH PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 80 AND ABOVE		 1100M

Go My GirlJockey Gurpreet Singh (GO MY GIRL) and Jockey Arman Ali Jafri (HE IS SEXY) were cautioned for failing to take advantageous position in the early part of the race.

4 (142) THE MR. & MRS. B KHANNA MEMORIAL CUP
A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66		 1400M

Al MaishaOn a request from Trainer S Ali Khan, AL MAISHA was examined at 10.00 a.m. on 2nd January 2018 and was found to be male by its right hind leg. As such the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The Trainer has been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to presenting his charge for future trial or race.
Top BrassJockey T S Jodha (TOP BRASS) reported that approaching 900 metres, his mount was unbalanced for a few strides when crowded.
Black SwanJockey G S Shekhawat (BLACK SWAN) reported that his mount put his head to left side and then took a fly jump thereby losing considerable ground at the start which had placed his mount at a disadvantage in obtaining a good position. The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that BLACK SWAN had sustained a cut injury on its left fore leg. Trainer Magan Singh has been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to presenting for future trial or race.
MidlexessJockey Narain Singh (MIDLEXESS) has been reprimanded for travelling wide throughout the race for no apparent reason.

5 (143) THE PHOTOFINISH PLATE (DIV-I)

Miss FerrariJockey Amyn Merchant (MISS FERRARI) has been cautioned for shifting in before the Red Marker.
Golda MaeAt the start, GOLDA MAE (Dhanu S Deora) jumped out awkwardly inwards.
Ashwa GarimaJockey Khet Singh (ASHWA GARIMA) reported that his mount was slow at the start.
TerrificApproaching 1000 metres, TERRIFIC (Mohanlal) slowed down due to which YASH YAK (R Rakesh) was steadied. An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of riding of TERRIFIC, Trained by H A Khan and ridden by Jockey Mohanlal. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary officer reported that the horse sustained a minor injury on right hind fetlock which has no racing significance.
RoopmantraJockey Md Asif Khan (ROOPMANTRA), drawn 9, was reprimanded for shifting in soon after the start and went across the entire field on his inside.

6 (144) THE PHOTOFINISH PLATE (DIV-II)
