Divine SparkThe Equine Hospital reported that DIVINE SPARK had left eye injury (lacrimation, corneal ulcer and opacity).
Diwali LightsApproaching 800 metres, DIWALI LIGHTS (G.Amit) shifted in and went across ROYSTON ROCK (Amyn Merchant) who had to be steadied. Jockey G. Amit has been cautioned.
Silver CapTrainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been fined Rs.1,000/ for having arrived late for saddling as a result his charge SHAKIN STEVENS was brought late into the paddock thereby delaying the race.
Tally HoSoon after the start, TALLY HO (T. S. Jodha, dr. 8) shifted in and made contact with AQUARIUS (D.A.Naik, dr. 7). Jockey T.S.Jodha has been cautioned.
OutstandingApproaching 400 metres, OUTSTANDING (S.J.Sunil) who was racing between DIVINE SPARK (C.S.Jodha) and TALLY HO (T.S.Jodha), was tightened for room and had to be steadied.
PadmakosaApproaching 1000 metres, PADMAKOSA (Bhawani Singh) who was racing between DIVINE SPARK (C.S.Jodha) and DIWALI LIGHTS (G.Amit), was tightened for room and dropped back thereby inconveniencing AQUARIUS (D. A. Naik) racing on its haunches. After the race, PADMAKOSA was observed to have an abrasion at both the hind fetlock; WABI SABI had a cut injury at the right hind pastern and AQUARIUS had a cut injury at the right nostril. SHAKIN STEVENS was found to be sound in the trot.

2 (45) THE ENLIGHTENMENT PLATE

Excellent GoldThe Equine Hospital reported that EXCELLENT GOLD had right eye injury (lacrimation, corneal ulcer and opacity).
GazinoSoon after the start, GAZINO (P.S.Chouhan) shifted in thereby inconveniencing GLYNDEBOURNE (S.Zervan). Jockey P.S.Chouhan has been cautioned.
In The StarsAfter the race, IN THE STARS was trotted and found to be sound.
PricelessgirlAt the start, PRICELESSGIRL (S.A.Amit, dr.7) jumped inwards on to IN THE STARS (P.Trevor, dr.6), who in turn shifted in thereby tightening QUEEN CREDIBLE (C.S.Jodha, dr.5).
Lady SergeantAfter the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (LADY SERGEANT) reported that his mount was inclined to lean outwards throughout the race. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

3 (46) THE NANA RAGHUNATH TROPHY

CollegiumAfter being stalled, COLLEGIUM (R.Ajinkya) played up in the stall. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr.VO and found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such, he was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Also, COLLEGIUM has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
RospomareThereafter, ROSPOMARE (App.D.R.Shubham) also played up in the stall. The gelding was taken out and was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Orion's BeltSoon after the start, ORION’S BELT (T.S.Jodha) shifted in under urgings and made contact with STALLONE (Amyn Merchant) forcing it inwards on to SAFDAR (A. Sandesh). Thereafter, ORION’S BELT further shifted in and tightened HEROINE (S.Mosin). After questioning Jockey T.S.Jodha and not being satisfied with his explanation, he has been fined Rs.3,000/.
Poco AzulAfter the race, POCO AZUL was observed to have a gum injury.

4 (47) THE NAWAB & BEGUM FAIYAZ HUSAIN MEMORIAL TROPHY (DIV-I)
TERMS - 3 year old maidens only		 1400M

Niche OrganicAt the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, BATTLE BOT was examined at the stables at 0900 hours on 15/08/2018 and was found to be sore by the left hind leg, as such the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting with her to race.
Dean's GoldAt the request of Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the saddle on his mount DEAN’S GOLD was adjusted at the starting gate.
Greek LegendGREEK LEGEND (C.Umesh) and KINGSLAYER (T.S.Jodha) jumped out slow losing about 3 lengths each at the start.

5 (48) THE MAYOR BABURAO SANAS MEMORIAL INDEPENDENCE MILLION
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (4 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 2000M
4.00 P.M.
MomentumMOMENTUM (N.S.Parmar) was fractious and refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. In view of above and a similar behavior of the gelding when he was last accepted to race, Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race before next accepting with him to race.
Priceless ArtPRICELESS ART (Yash Narredu) jumped out slow losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
DescartesAfter the race, App.K. Nazil (REDS REVENGE) reported the loss of whip passing 400 metres. This being his first instance of whip loss during the current Pune Meeting, no action has been initiated.
Aspen (O)ASPEN (Bhawani Singh) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.
CosimoAfter the race, Jockey S.Zervan (COSIMO) reported that his mount got keen between 1600 metres and 1400 metres and as such may have clipped the heels of SMART N NOBLE (A.Imran Khan).

6 (49) THE UNFORGETTABLE YOU PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 4 TO 30 - (4 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1600M

AberlourAt the start, ABERLOUR (S.A.Amit, dr.8) and CRISTO BOSS (N.S.Parmar, dr.9) jumped outwards and at the same time RICARDUS (C.S.Jodha, dr.10) jumped inwards due to which they were observed to have jostled. Soon after the start, ABERLOUR (S.A.Amit) shifted out and at the same time WINDFALL (H.Zeeshan) shifted in thereby tightening CRISTO BOSS (N. S. Parmar) and RICARDUS (C.S.Jodha). In this connection Jockeys S.A.Amit and H.Zeeshan have been cautioned.
ArrecifeApproaching 600 metres, ARRECIFE (A.Imran Khan) was observed to have dropped back thereby inconveniencing KOTOR (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be steadied. Jockey A.Imran Khan (ARRECIFE) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. On being questioned after the race, Jockey A.Imran Khan stated that his mount hungin in the straight and the whip was used as a corrective measure, as such, no action has been initiated against him. However Trainer Zadmal Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Wizard Of OddsApproaching 200 metres, WIZARD OF ODDS (S.G.Prasad) shifted out under the use of the whip and went across HERMOSA (G.Amit). Thereafter, WIZARD OF ODDS further shifted out and carried ANGEL COIN (K.Nazil) outwards. Jockey S.G.Prasad has been fined Rs.2,000/ for having persisted with the whip despite his mount shifting out.
Pretty AngelAfter the race, PRETTY ANGEL was trotted and found to be sound.
HermosaPassing 400 metres, HERMOSA (G.Amit) shifted in on to CRISTO BOSS (N.S.Parmar) forcing the latter to be checked. Jockey G.Amit has been cautioned.
Royal EclairROYAL ÉCLAIR (T.S.Jodha) and PRETTY ANGEL (Bhawani Singh) jumped out slow losing about 4 and 5 lengths respectively. Trainers Subhag Singh and Karthik Ganapathy have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
MontanaAfter the race, MONTANA was found to be sore by the right hind leg. Also, the filly had a cut injury on the right hind. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
