Respect	Jockey Mohit Singh, the rider of RESPECT, was fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/ for the indifferent handling of his mount throughout the race. He was further informed that should he ride in a similar manner in future he would be reported to the Stewards for disciplinary action.
Ascend	ASCEND (App Nikhil Naidu), ATHEIST (Shezad Khan), RESPECT (Mohit Singh) and HEADING GLORY (Md Azharuddin) were slow to begin.
Mahasuvi	b f MAHASUVI (C Alford) was brought to a halt before passing the winning post. On immediate examination the filly was reported to have bled from both nostrils. Tr. J E Mckeown was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

Viareggio

Jockey Yash Narredu, the rider of VIAREGGIO, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/ for presenting himself late to the paddock without adequate reason. VIAREGGIO (Yash Narredu) ran detached from the field during the early and middle stages of the race.

Ophion	OPHION (S John) which was fractious while being stalled jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates.
Everybreakingwave	As Jockey B Mahesh was unable to fulfill his riding engagement in this race due to delay in his flight schedule, Tr. J E Mckeown was permitted to substitute Jockey S Zervaan to ride his charge EVERYBREAKINGWAVE.
Joss	JOSS (C Alford) was slow to begin.

Dixie Diamond	b g DIXIE DIAMOND, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Saturday, 16th December, 2017 and found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. H S Bath was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Mizuno	MIZUNO (Yash Narredu) was resaddled at the start.
I Am Legend	I AM LEGEND (Jugnu Gurung) and MAJESTIC (Ranidan Singh) were slow to begin.

Abberella	DANCERESS (Hindu Singh) was extremely fractious while being stalled. In view of its behaviour Tr. Raunak Banerji was informed not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.
Alshafa	ALSHAFA (Bal Ramandeep) was slow to begin.

Star Phoenix	b g STAR PHOENIX (Sk Israil) dislodged the rider on its way to the start, galloped around the course and sustained a cut injury on its right hock. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. D M David was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Spallanzani	As Jockey C Alford was declared medically unfit to ride after his engagement in the 7th Race, Tr. Raunak Banerji was permitted to substitute Jockey Shrikant Kamble to ride his charge SPALLANZANI. Subsequent to the race day b f SPALLANZANI was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame on right fore. Tr. Raunak Banerji was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Fite Of Honour	Jockey Ranidan Singh, the rider of FITE OF HONOUR, reported loss of whip approaching the 400 metres and Jockey Mohit Singh, the rider of SICARIO, reported loss of whip passing the 400 metres.
Surgical Strike	SURGICAL STRIKE (Md Azharuddin) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates.
Rabda	RABDA (Dashrath Singh) fly jumped out from the gates.
