Royal ConcertApproaching the 400 metre marker ROYAL CONCERT (Md Azharuddin) clipped the heels of ARTISTE ROYAL (Suraj Narredu) and stumbled thereby momentarily unbalancing its rider. After viewing the CCTV replay of the race no blame could be attached to any rider, as such, no action was taken beyond cautioning Jockey Md. Azharuddin not to position his mount immediately behind the front runner.

NovikovFor accepting with his charge NOVIKOV to run in the above race while under medication, Tr. J E Mckeown was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/. Subsequently the filly was permitted to be withdrawn.
Glamourous GloryGLAMOUROUS GLORY (Mohit Singh) jumped awkwardly ‘inwards’ from the gate.
Hurricane StormJockey B Mahesh, the rider of HURRICANE STORM, was fined a sum of Rs. 15,000/ for the improper use of the whip in that he used it to intimidate LUCKY STREAK (C Alford) during the final stages of the race.
ConstanceAt the conclusion of an enquiry held into the running and riding of CONSTANCE, trained by Mr. Shafiq Khan and Ridden by App Ranidan Singh, the Apprentice was fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/ for the indifferent handling of his mount in that he placed the filly in a disadvantageous position at the rear of the field during the early and middle stages of the race in spite of having every opportunity to do otherwise as was instructed by his Trainer.

3 (35) THE BENGAL AREA CUP

SanviSANVI (C S Jodha, Drawn 4), UPTOWN GIRL (Md Imran, Drawn 5) and HIBIKI (App P Vikram, Drawn 6) were inconvenienced when LHOTSE (App Rupal Singh, Drawn 7) shifted ‘inwards’ soon after the start.
Auxiliumch c AUXILIUM , b c ARCHIVOLT and b f HAIL THE QUEEN were examined by the Veterinary Officer immediately after the race and found to be trotting sound.

So RegalFor failing to produce the registered colours at the scale in respect of his charge SO REGAL, Tr. Patrick Quinn was fined a sum of Rs. 500/. Subsequently the emergency colour ‘ALL BLACK’ was permitted to be used.
Pick PocketJockey Afzal Khan, the rider of PICK POCKET, reported loss of whip while negotiating the bend.
