RonAt the start, RON (A. Sandesh, dr. 4) and RUNNING RIVER (Kishore Kadam, dr. 6) jumped outwards and inwards respectively and made contact with STARS OF YOU (N. S. Parmar, dr. 5). Jockey P.S. Chouhan (BRONX) was observed to have carried into the paddock a whip which is not permitted to be used. However the same was confiscated before leaving the paddock. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same. At the start, LA RONDINE (David Egan) jumped outwards throwing her head. At the same time BRONX (P. S. Chouhan) jumped inwards and they made contact. Passing the 300 metres, LA RONDINE (David Egan) leaned inwards onto TASAWWUR (A. Sandesh) causing the later to be steadied. After the race, on questioning Jockey David Egan stated that his mount had shied away from the whip. The explanation tendered by the Jockey has been noted and Trainer Vishal Gaikwad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. At the start, SAFFRON FLOWER (S. S. Baria, dr. 9) jumped out awkwardly throwing her head, made contact with SIR RAMON (A. Sandesh, dr. 10) and ricocheted on to BRIANNA (S. J. Sunil, dr. 8) and was steadied.
Power Of NeathAfter the race, QUAIL HOLLOW was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club?s V.O. before next accepting to race.
D AnandaTITANIUM raced with a snaffle bit without obtaining prior permission for the same. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been fined Rs. 1,000/ for his lapse.

FarahnoushAt the request of Trainer Asad Siddiqui, FARAHNAAZ was examined at 1710 hours on 28/12/2019 and found to have cut injury on right shoulder; as such the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the filly from the Club?s V.O. before next accepting to race.
BamsiJockey N. S. Parmar (FEEL LUCKY) has been fined Rs. 3,000/ for having used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
Treasure HuntAfter the race, Jockey David Egan (TREASURE HUNT) reported that his mount hung out throughout the race. After the race, TREASURE HUNT was trotted and found to be sound.

3 (62) THE KUSUMBEN DHIRUBHAI SHAH TROPHY

ImpalaIMPALA was observed to have hungin in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Storm BreakerSoon after the start, STORM BREAKER (Yash Narredu) shifted in and went onto ARC SHINE (App. Malam Singh) causing her to be checked. In view of the same, Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs. 2,000/. Jockey Yash Narredu (STORM BREAKER) has been fined Rs. 3,000/ for having used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. After the race, STORM BREAKER, WILD FIRE and ARC SHINE were trotted and found to be sound.

Night HuntNIGHT HUNT was declared to race with bandages on both fore legs however, the gelding raced without bandages. Trainer Vishal Gaikwad has been fined Rs. 1,000/ for his lapse.
Cliffs Of CapriPassing the 800 metres, HODSON?S HORSE (Santosh G.) was inclined outwards thereby inconveniencing CLIFFS OF CAPRI (David Egan) on more than one occasion. Jockey Santosh G. has been cautioned.
CollegiumCOLLEGIUM (Amyn Merchant) reared up as the start was effected resulting in the gelding losing considerable ground at the start. In view of above and a similar behavior of the gelding in the past it is recommended the gelding be shown in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the starter before next accepting to race. After the race, COLLEGIUM and ARABIAN STORM were trotted and found to be sound. COLLEGIUM had a gum injury.

Mount MoriahPassing the Red Marker, MOUNT MORIAH (Nathan Evans) leaned outwards due to which PRINCEPESSA (Dashrath Singh), QALANDAR (N. S. Parmar) and PATRIOTS DAY (App. P. S. Kaviraj) were inconvenienced and QALANDAR had to be checked and dropped back. Jockey Nathan Evans has been cautioned. After the race, Jockey Nathan Evans (MOUNT MORIAH) reported the loss of whip passing the 500 metres. This being his first instance of whip loss during the current Mumbai Meeting 2019/20, no action has been initiated.
