| being the favourite unnecessarily hit front set a scorching pace, obviously ran out of steam approaching 400 & retirede a pathetic 2ndlasthad won the Bangalore Summer Derby coming of the pace.Incidents: On being questioned regarding the performance of b c ABOLINE, Jockey C Alford stated that he eased up the colt passing the 400 metres as it showed no inclination to continue in the race. The colt was impounded for veterinary examination and on examination the Sr. Veterinary Officer reported that no external ailment was noticed. Tr. Mr. A Mangalorkar when questioned could give no plausible explanation for his charge’s performance and undertook to inform the Stipendiary Stewards any ailment that may arise. The Stipendiary Stewards informed Tr. A Mangalorkar not to accept with his charge again unless it performs to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.

| withdrawn.Incidents: ARCTIC FORCE (Neeraj Rawal) was very fractious and reluctant to be loaded inspite of repeated attempts to do so. In the process, the bridle of the gelding came off which the handlers were unable to refit as the gelding was uncooperative. In view of its behaviour the gelding was withdrawn with the permission of the Stewards before coming under Starter’s orders.
