A new stallion has been acquired to stand at Pune`s Capricorn Stud Farm. Seven year old Whatsthescript by Royal Applause (GB) out of Grizel, by Lion Cavern, will start stud duties in India during the 2012 breeding season. The son of Royal Applause was retired to stud in USA in 2010 and his first crop is already on ground. Whatsthescript has been acquired by three different partners under the banner WTS Holdings.

Whatsthescript (Ire) is a multiple graded stakes winner and was retired as a stallion at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds for the 2010 season while he recovered from a soft issue problem. He was brought back to racing before being sold to India.

Whatsthescript scored in the 2006 Generous Stakes (G3) at Hollywood Park and Pinjara Stakes at Santa Anita Park, the `07 Pasadena Stakes at Santa Anita, `08 American Handicap (G2) at Hollywood, and Del Mar Mile Handicap (G2). He finished second or third in three Grade 1 races, including a third-place finish to Goldikova (Ire) in the 2008 Breeders` Cup Mile (G1). He won from six furlongs to a mile.
Bred in Ireland by Chris Machale and Jimmy Hyland, Whatsthescript won six of 27 starts and was on board 22 times of which 18 were Graded and Stakes races, beating over ten individual Group 1winners and had earnings of over $1,000,000.

Royal Applause, the sire of Whatsthescript has proved to be a notable sire of sires. He was an unbeaten multiple group winning two year old himself over five and six furlongs including Middle Park Stakes Gr.1, Gimcrack Stakes Gr.2 & Coventry Stakes Gr.3 at Royal Ascot. He is a sire of as many as ten horses rated 115 and above including Acclamation, Battle of Hastings, Crime Scene, Finjaan, Lovelace, Ticker Tape and Whatsthescript. Grizel, the dam of Whatsthescript won three races at two in England.
