Our correspondent recommends the following three races as betting propositions.

Fourth Race - # 6) Bullish Brother has not missed the top three spot in all his last five runs where he has been ridden by five different jockeys. All these runs have been over the Happy Valley 1200 meter trip over which he runs again. On Wednesday night, Bullish Brother will be ridden by yet a different jockey, Vincent Ho, who has ridden 52 winners this season. Vincent Ho partnered Bullish Glory in a barrier trial recently and should be able to hit the front and try and make it from pillar to post. Junzi will relish the fast tempo and will hit the line strongly to fight it out along with Le Terroir, Compassion Star, and Cheeky Bee.

Fifth Race - # 12) Valiant Dream, whose best form is over the straight 1000 meter Sha Tin dash, will step up in distance and class in this 1200 meter Class 3 race. He failed as an odds-on favorite in Class 4, where he was reported lame in his right front leg on the morning after racing. Valiant Dream will carry 16 pounds less in this higher class and this should allow him to get the measure of Victory Machine who will try and slot in from barrier 10.

Sixth Race - # 10 Acclaimed Light steps up to Class 3 after winning in Class 4 over Salto Olimpico who went on to frank that form by winning subsequently. This Paul O’Sullivan trained seven year old is a model of consistency and has retained his condition as evidenced by his recent barrier trial. Flying Quest, Win Win, Stimulation, and Rickfield all run with competitive chances.

Here are the selections for the card

These selections are based on the Race Card available at the time of writing and do not factor in any standby horses that are promoted. While considering the tips above, please pay attention to the names of the horses – the number of a horse that is withdrawn will be assigned to the promoted standby horse.
