1	(41)	THE ALBERTINI PLATE - DIV-II A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (4 years old only)	1200M

Step By Step	STEP BY STEP (Y. S. Srinath) was tardy out of the gates, losing about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. An enquiry has been initiated into the poor performance of STEP BY STEP in this race and a report will be submit shortly.
Arabian Star	The Sr. V. O. reported that CRESCENDO had a wolf tooth on the left side of her mouth.
Salvador Dali(O)	Jockey Aadesh Kumar (SALVADOR DALI) reported that his mount was lugging in throughout the race. At about 700mts, SALVADOR DALI (Aadesh Kumar) shifted in despite Jockey’s effort and caused RODRIGO (I.Shaikh) on the inside to be checked. Tr. Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the horse and he reported that no abnormality was detected.

2	(42)	THE ALBERTINI PLATE - DIV-I A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (4 years old only)	1200M

Arabian Eagle	It was observed that soon after the start PAPER KING (P.Kamlesh, dr.7) shifted in on to SOLID ROCK (Dashrath Singh) who was forced to shift in. Due to the above, LA JOIE DE VIE (Stephane Breux) who was racing directly behind SOLID ROCK, shifted out to avoid clipping the former’s heel and in doing so, went on to THE TEMPEST (K P G Appu) who in turn went on to MARINE ZONE (Nirmal Singh) who lost position. Jockey P Kamlesh was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding. Jockeys P.Kamlesh (PAPER KING) and Stephane Breux (LA JOIE DE VIE) have been fined Rs.1000/ each for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on their respective mount.
Slickkit	Jockey I. Shaikh (SLICKKIT) was observed to shift in at about 900 metres on to EQUALITY (P.Ajay) who had to be checked. Jockey I.Shaikh has been fined 2000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount..
The Tempest	After the race, THE TEMPEST was observed to have an abrasion on the right fore canon and SOLID ROCK had an abrasion on the right hind pastern.

3	(43)	THE POTENTIAL CHAMPION TROPHY TERMS - 3 years old only	1000M

Blazing Spectacle	BLAZING SPECTACLE (B.Prakash) prematurely tried to rush the front gate, resulting in Jockey B.Prakash being dislodged and getting hurt. As such, BLAZING SPECTACLE was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. HUNTER BAY (Vikram Walkar) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainers Karthik G. and M.K.Jadhav have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
El Tropico	Jockey R Shelar (EL TROPICO) reported that his mount was hanging in very badly in the straight. Tr. S. K. Sunderji asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.
Aberdovey	After the race, ABERDOVEY was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind fetlock and SEA VALUE had an abrasion on both hind fetlocks.
Fragrances	Jockey P. Kamlesh (MISS PINKY) reported that his mount was hanging in very badly and ran green in the race and while correcting the filly, she went on to FRAGRANCES (C Rajendra). Tr. Dallas Todywalla asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

4	(44)	THE STAR COMRADE PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66	2000M

Congrats	At the request of Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait, CONGRATS was examined on 31st July, 2009 at 1700 hours and was found to be sore by the right fore due to painful inflammatory swelling of the right knee. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Tromos	Jockey Satish Nayak (TROMOS) has been fined Rs.1000/ for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
Swahili	On questioning Tr Zadmal Singh (SWAHILI) regarding the running of his charge, he stated that the Jockey could not settle the horse wherein the horse kept fighting for his head. He also said that he felt the horse did not relish the trip. The explanation has been noted. The Sr. V. O. reported that SWAHILI had a wolf tooth on both sides of her mouth.

5	(45)	THE LUFTHANSA AUGUST HANDICAP A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (3 years old only)	1400M

Stalker

RIVER MINSTREL (R.Shelar) took a fly jump. RIVER MINSTREL hungin in the final stages. Tr.S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

6	(46)	THE TURF CLUB TROPHY (GR.3) TERMS - 4 YEARS OLD & UPWARD	1400M

Juventus	The bit on JUVENTUS (P Kamlesh) slipped out to the left at about 150 metres after the start. Tr S S Shah has been cautioned for the future..
Beyond Belief	BEYOND BELIEF (Imran Chisty) was placed fifth and COTSWOLD ARMS (App.N.S.Parmar) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

7	(47)	THE HER MAJESTY TROPHY A Handicap for Horses rated 80 & ABOVE	1000M

Angels Glory

ANGELS GLORY (Stephane Breux) jumped towards the outside and gradually kept going out onto RIVER DANCER (App N S Parmar) who in turn went onto STAR IMPACT (App Shrikant Kamble) causing the gelding to stumble and the rider getting unbalanced. Jockey Stephane Breux was reported to the Stewards for careless riding. Jockey Stephane Breux (ANGELS GLORY) reported that he lost his reins momentarily at the bend which he regained immediately.

8	(48)	THE NELSON RIVER PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 00 TO 26	1800M

Regina(O)	At the request of Trainer D.J.Surti, REGINA was examined on 30th July, 2009 at 1100 hours and was found to have colic and was treated. As such, the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
Nara	The Saddle on NARA (Dashrath Singh) was observed to have slipped back during the race. Tr Nirad Karanjawala has been fined 2000/ for faulty saddling of his mount.
Starlite Express	STARLITE EXPRESS (Stephane Breux) had a hampered passage in the early part of the race and approaching 1000 metres had to be eased up due to a tightly packed field.
Saarah	Tr Jayantilal K Gor has been fined 1000/ for bringing his charge SAARAH in the paddock with the wrong bit.
Victor Ivanov	After the race, VICTOR IVANOV was observed to have an abrasion on the left fore canon.
Winning Treat	Entering the straight, WINNING TREAT (App.D.S.Rathore) shifted in causing SIR TAJ (Ikram Khan) and YOWZA (J Chinoy) to be checked by their respective riders. App.D.S.Rathore has been fined Rs.2000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount. Further, he has been severely cautioned for the future.
