1 (122) THE AIR STRIKE PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 00 TO 26 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1200M
Sudden ImpactThe saddle on SUDDEN IMPACT (C. S. Jodha) was observed to have slipped back during the race. As such, Tr. Magansingh P. Jodha has been fined Rs. 2000/ for faulty saddling of his charge.
Luis FigoAfter the race, LUIS FIGO was found to be sore by right fore leg & was coughing during examination. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
JolteonThe explanation of Trainer Dallas Todywalla that he had asked App. D. S. Rathore (JOLTEON) to ride a waiting race and give a chance to the horse was noted.
Refuse To BendREFUSE TO BEND (S.S.Baria) was slow in stride losing about a length at start. Passing 600 metres, REFUSE TO BEND (S. S. Baria) shifted in and inconvenienced RAVE ON (P. Ajay). Jockey S. S. Baria has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount. Jockey S.S. Baria (REFUSE TO BEND) has been fined Rs.500/ for not wearing his Goggles during the race. REFUSE TO BEND, in its run in Race no 14, had planted therefore the Starting Stall Certificate was revoked. Subsequently, the horse was shown in a Mock race on 23rd August 2009 to the satisfaction of the Starter. The horse ran with Blinkers in the concerned Mock race and the equipment may have helped the horse to behave satisfactorily and hence the Starting Stall Certificate was reinstated. The Race Card showed that no change of equipment was applied for by the Trainer and the horse raced in today’s race without Blinkers and the horse was slowly off at the start. The matter was reported to the Stewards.

2 (123) THE PARTY WHIP TROPHY
TERMS - 3 year old maidens only		 1000M
AflatoonAfter the race, TITAN was found to be sound and had an abrasion on his right hind fetlock.
FragrancesThe explanation of Jockey Imran Chisty (FRAGRANCES) that his mount did not show speed in the early part of the race was noted.
Primo ValentinoAfter the race, PRIMO VALENTINO was found to be sore by left fore leg. As such the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
ItsdawnofracingJockey R Shelar (LAMPARD) has been reprimanded for failing to ride out his mount to complete advantage.
Sniper ShotTrainer Anil Kumar has been fined Rs.1000/ for not declaring the use of a ‘D’ bit on his charge SNIPER SHOT.

3 (124) THE CAPITULATE PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1200M
War Of Attrition(O)The saddle on WAR OF ATTRITION (SS Baria) slipped back during the race as such Trainer Mansoor Shah has been fined Rs.5000/ for faulty saddling of his charge.
Misschevious TrotThe explanation of Jockey Sunny Chinoy (CALLING THE SHOTS) that he was badly drawn and that he had expected the other horses to move ahead of him and he had intended to be in 2nd or 3rd position as instructed. Further, that he did not get a chance to position his mount as intended was noted.
Native StrategyApp N.S. Parmar (NATIVE STARTEGY) reported loss of whip near 150 metres. This being the second occasion on which the Apprentice has reported loss of whip during the current Pune Meeting 2009, he has been fined Rs. 1000/.
Kiss AwayAfter the race, KISS AWAY was found to be sound and had an abrasion on her right hind pastern.

4 (125) THE SEPTEMBER HANDICAP
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (3 years old only)		 1600M
Great WhiteAt the request of the trainer Bezan Chenoy, GREAT WHITE was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. on 05/09/09 at 9:41 a.m. and was found to evince pain on the back of the frog of the right fore hoof. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds.
CambiassoJockey M. Narredu (CAMBIASSO) was observed to have used his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. On questioning, the jockey stated that the horse was luggingin in the straight and therefore he had used his whip as a corrective measure. The explanation was accepted.
Riding FantasyAfter the race, RIDING FANTASY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Oriental MagicNear 1400 metres, ORIENTAL MAGIC (Satish Nayak) was tightened and lost position and in the process hampered the running of RIDING FANTASY (Imran Chisty) who was following ORIENTAL MAGIC.
Caustic FinaleSoon after the start, CAUSTIC FINALE (S. S. Baria) shifted out and made contact with ORIENTAL MAGIC (Satish Nayak) on a couple of occasions. Jockey SS Baria has been asked to exhibit greater care in future. While entering the straight, CAUSTIC FINALE (SS Baria) shifted out as the Jockey tried to imprve his position and in the process forced CAMBIASSO (M Narredu) to travel wide. Jockey SS Baria was cautioned.
Twilight FantasyTWILIGHT FANTASY (Shailesh Shinde) jumped out slowly and thereafter didn’t raise a gallop. In view of this behaviour, Trainer Karthik G has been asked to show the filly in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race. After the race, TWILIGHT FANTASY was found to have an erupting wolf tooth on the right side of her mouth.

5 (126) FIELD MARSHALL SAM MANECKSHAW MEMORIAL TROPHY
A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66		 1400M
La Joie De VieAfter the race, LA JOIE DE VIE was found to be sound and had an abrasion on her left hind pastern.

6 (127) THE SOUTHERN COMMAND GOLD TROPHY (GR.3)
TERMS - 3 YEARS OLD & UPWARD		 1600M
JuventusAfter the race, JUVENTUS was found to be sound and had a bleeding injury on his right hind canon.
HugoJockey J. E. Pereira (HUGO) reported loss of whip near the winning post. Since this was his first instance of loss of whip this season, no action was initiated.

7 (128) THE BOUNTIFUL TREASURE PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 86		 2400M
Go Guzzi GoPassing 500 meters GO GUZZI GO (Dashrath Singh) was steadied while racing on the inside of FLASHING FLAME and after putting in a few strides further GO GUZZI GO clipped the hind heels of FLASHING FLAME (Sunny Chinoy) and stumbled.
TelstarApproaching 400 meters, TELSTAR (App NS Parmar) was tightened along the rails while racing on the inside of ROCOCO (Vivek) and shifted out on to COSMOPOLITAN (TS Jodha).
RococoAfter the race, ROCOCO was found to be sound and had an abrasion on his right hind medial bulb of heel & coronet.

8 (129) THE GLASNOST PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1400M
Here Comes The DonHERE COMES THE DON (App Prabhu Naidu) played up in the stall and was taken out & examined by the Club’s Sr. VO who certified him fit to race.
Maverick(O)After the race, MAVERICK was found to be sound and had an abrasion on her right hind lateral bulb of heel.
Sara JahanSARA JAHAN (T.S.Jodha) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at start.
