1	(181)	THE BOUVET - LADUBAY CHAMPIONSHIP (DIV-II) A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 26	1200M
			1.45 P.M.

Beacon Light	At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, BEACON LIGHT was examined on 11/04/2009 at 0930 hours and found to have fever as such the filly was certified unfit to race and withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
Solor	After the race, SOLOR was observed to have an abrasion on both hind fetlocks.
Nonios	NONIOS (R.Shelar) took an awkward jump and thereafter swerved to the outside and failed to raise an effective gallop. Trainer Amjad Khan has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

			2.15 P.M.

Suavemente	SUAVEMENTE (R.Rupesh) reared up and flipped over in the stall. The colt was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. and found to have sustained abrasion on the left stifle and certified unfit to race. As such SUAVEMENTE was withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the colt in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
Arabian Chief	Near 300 metres BLADES OF GLORY (App.S.Zervan) stumbled on its own. After the race, BLADES OF GLORY was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Shabdeez	At the start SHABDEEZ (S.R.Bhagwat) was tightened for room and steadied. Jockey S.R.Bhagwat was questioned regarding his feeble riding effort on SHABDEEZ and not being satisfied with his explanation the matter was reported to the Stewards. The trainer when asked about his observation stated that the jockey has ridden out the horse and that he took no exception to his riding efforts. The Stewards after the last race interviewed Trainer Asad Siddiqui and Jockey S.R.Bhagwat in the above connection. Trainer Asad Siddiqui stated that he had instructed the Jockey to settle the horse in 4th/5th position and do his best. He opined that as long as the filly was behind horses in the straight, she was keen but the moment the Jockey pulled her out she did not respond. He said that he was satisfied with the Jockey’s riding. Jockey S.R.Bhagwat confirmed the instructions and stated that coming into the straight the filly was keen when racing behind horses but the moment he pulled her out and asked for an effort she did not respond. The Stewards having heard the Trainer and Jockey and having reviewed the video recording of the race, decided that no action was called for in the matter.
Sudden Impact	SUDDEN IMPACT (Dashrath Singh) was inclined to lugout in the straight. Trainer Magansingh P Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.

4	(184)	ROMANOV RED ‘CHASE YOUR PASSION’ TROPHY TERMS - 3 year old maidens only	1000M
			3.25 P.M.

Battle Fury

Near 700 meters, BATTLE FURY (C Rajendra) wobbled and fell, dislodging the rider. Later on HICKORY (S.N. Chavan) collided with the fallen horse and fell. Due to the fall of these two horses, AZUL (T.S.Jodha) and FORWARD CHARGE (H.G. Rathod) were pulled up to avoid collision with the fallen Jockey, FORWARD CHARGE was pulled up to be out of the race. The Sr.V.O. reported that on examination, BATTLE FURY was found to have sustained compound fracture of the left fore metacarpal. As the condition was irrepairable, the gelding was euthanized on humane grounds.

Smokin Aces

After the race, SMOKIN ACES was observed to have an abrasion on the right hind pastern and HICKORY had an abrasion on the right shoulder and right elbow.

5	(185)	ROYAL CHALLENGE ‘GAME FOR LIFE’ CHALLENGE A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46	1400M
			4.00 P.M.

Palermo	At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, PALERMO was examined on 08/04/2009 at 1700 hours and found to be unfit to race and withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
Eagle Mountain	At the request of Trainer Faisal A.Abbas, EAGLE MOUNTAIN was examined on 10/04/2009 at 1145 hours and found to have painful swelling of the left fore tendon, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
Sharp Memory	After the race, SHARP MEMORY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Tyumen	At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards’ Enquiry was held in this race. The reason being that approaching 800 meters, TYUMEN (Imran Chisty, placed 4th) shifted in due to which FIRE VAULT (Nirmal Jodha) shifted in turn and tightened CEST BON (M.Narredu) causing the latter severe interference. The Stewards interviewed the Jockeys concerned and considering the opinion of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their own observation of the race, resolved to maintain the order of placing, as declared by the Judge.
Cest Bon	After the race, CEST BON was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Bonny Light	After the race, BONNY LIGHT was observed to have an abrasion on the left fore cannon.

6	(186)	THE BLACK DOG TROPHY A Handicap for Horses rated 80 & ABOVE	1200M
			4.30 P.M.

Spirituall	Jockey M Narredu (SPIRITUALL) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. The Jockey explained that his mount was inclined to lugin in the straight and he had used the whip as a corrective measure. Tr.P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. Trainer P Shroff has been fined Rs.1000/ for using a Rubber bit on his charge SPIRITUALL, for the use of which no prior intimation was received.
Red Romeo	Near 1100 meters, RED ROMEO (Daniel M Grant) shifted in to take the rails and in the process took the running of RIVER DANCER (F Norton) who shifted out and in the process AVEC PLAISIR (App N.S. Parmar) shifted out and made contact with COVENANT (App S. Zervan) and ricocheted on to RIVER DANCER (F Norton). Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against any Jockey. After the race, RED ROMEO was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of four weeks. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Call To Arms	Near 800 meters, CALL TO ARMS (A.M. Tograllu) shifted in and inconvenienced ENCELADUS (C.S. Jodha). Jockey AM Tograllu has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Enceladus	At the start, ENCELADUS (C.S. Jodha, dr.6) and SHYBOY (S.A. De Sousa, dr.7) were involved in a jostle with each other. Both the Jockeys have been asked to be more alert at the gates.

7	(187)	THE KUNIGAL STUD BREEDERS` PRODUCE STAKES (GR.3) TERMS - 3 years old only	1400M
			5.00 P.M.

Forest Flair	FOREST FLAIR (B Prakash) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and then tried to lug outwards. Trainer Karthik G has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Amore Mio	Approaching, 200 meters, AMORE MIO (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and came in contact with MIGHTY CRUSADER (Suraj Narredu). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been asked to be more careful with regard to the use of the whip.
Arts	ARTS (Y.S.Srinath) was placed fifth and BOURBON BAY (Nirmal Jodha) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
Stalker	The Sr.V.O. reported that RIVER MINSTREL was examined after the race and found to be sound. The colt had wolf teeth on both sides of his mouth.
