Royal DancePrior to the running of the race, Tr. Vijay Singh informed the Stipendiary Stewards that his instructions to his jockey C Alford, the rider of ROYAL DANCE were, if circumstances permitted, to ride the horse from 5th/6th position in the early stages of the race and thereafter to make gradual progress and to do his best during the final stages of the race. His instructions were noted. ROYAL DANCE (C Alford) jumped awkwardly out of the gates. ROYAL DANCE (C Alford) was carried wide without cover approaching the 600 metres of the race.
Hall MarkHALL MARK (Vinay Jaiswal) and ROYAL DANCE (C Alford) were very fractious in their respective stalls.
Touch Of MagicTOUCH OF MAGIC (App Amandeep Singh) was slow to begin.

2 (57) THE SUNRAY HANDICAP

AndeanaApp B Mahesh, the rider of ANDEANA, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st offence). An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of ANDEANA, trained by Mr. Vijay Singh and ridden by App B Mahesh.
Flirting EyeFLIRTING EYE (Nirmal Jodha) was resaddled on reaching the starting gates.
King Of DanceKING OF DANCE (App Amandeep Singh), HIGHLAND MAGIC (App Pintu Das) and SECRET HERO (Salim Khan) were fractious while being loaded thereby delaying the start of the race. KING OF DANCE (App Amandeep Singh) drifted to the outer portion of the race track in the final 300 metres of the race. Tr. D M David was advised to take appropriate corrective measures before next accepting with the gelding.
King's AceKING’S ACE (A Imran Khan) was slow to begin.
DreamcatcherThe Sr. Veterinary Officer reported that DREAMCATCHER returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. Patrick Quinn was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.

KayadhuJockey Pawan Sharma, the rider of KAYADHU, reported that his mount was hanging ‘in’ during the final stages of the race.

4 (59) THE T N BANERJEA CUP (DIV-II)

AppertainApp Ajoy Roy, the rider of APPERTAIN, reported that his mount was inclined to run ’out’ in the early and middle stages of the race and therefore he was unable to place his mount in an advantageous position. Tr. Vijay Singh was advised to take appropriate corrective measures.
Leading EdgeSoon after jumping out of the starting gates LEADING EDGE (App Arman Khan, drawn 5) lost some ground when squeezed for room between MASTER COUP (Afzal Khan, drawn 4) and EXTRAORDINAIRE (Nirmal Jodha, drawn 6).

War ChildOn the morning of Saturday, 12th December, 2009, b g WAR CHILD declared to run in the above race was examined by the Sr. Veterinary Officer and found to be lame on left fore. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn. Tr. D Byramji was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.
Palme DorApp B Srinivas Rao, the rider of PALME DOR, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/ for not exercising proper control over his mount passing the distance post thereby allowing it to shift ‘out’ and interfere with CRUSH ON YOU (A Imran Khan).
RithambhraRITHAMBHRA (Pawan Sharma) was fractious while being loaded.
Magic Spell (O)Some distance after jumping out of the gates MAGIC SPELL (Nirmal Jodha) shifted ‘out’ and brushed against FOCUS (D K Ashish).
FocusFOCUS (D K Ashish) jumped awkwardly out of the gates.
Mirror ImageMIRROR IMAGE reared up and fell during the parade of runners in the paddock. The mare was examined by the Sr. Veterinary Officer and passed fit to race. MIRROR IMAGE (Gajender Singh) was considerably slow to begin losing approximately 4 lengths at the start. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed to give his charge adequate gate practice before next accepting with it.

6 (61) THE MAHARAJADHIRAJA UDAY CHAND MAHTAB OF BURDWAN MEMORIAL CUP

Silver FoxSILVER FOX (Neeraj Rawal) was very fractious while being loaded.
Compton StarApp B Mahesh, the rider of COMPTON STAR, was reprimanded for not exercising sufficient control over his mount and allowing it to shift ‘out’ and inconvenience FLASHING FLAME (App Nelson Maseyk) in the final 300 metres of the race.

Party CelebrationPARTY CELEBRATION (Brij Shaw) stumbled approaching the 600 metres of the race thereby losing some ground.
Shes Superbb f SHES SUPERB was examined by the Sr. Veterinary Officer after the race and found to have sustained a cut injury on its right fore.
MandjiMANDJI (Md. Islam) was troublesome while proceeding to the starting gates and thereafter was slow to begin losing approximately 2 lengths at the start.
