Leading Indian trainer Padmanabhan was responsible for the purchase along with Dr John Weld. The fact that Dancing Forever is from the Blushing Groom male line is one of the principal reasons why Dancing Forever is considered a hot purchase for India, where racing is held only on grass and in firm going. A daughter of Rahy, Rahy's Serenade, who was bought for a mere $8,000 from Keeneland, has been an outstanding success in India, having foaled Allies Serenade (Allied Forces), her first local foal, who went on to win the Gr.1 Mysore Derby. Apart from Allies Serenade, the mare has consistently thrown high-quality performers, including Diego Rivera, who is a multiple Group winner with victories in the Gr.1 Super Mile. This year's hot Indian Derby contender, Onassis (Glory of Dancer) is also out of Rahy's Serenade.
Noverre, another Rahy stallion, is currently standing at Sohna Stud Farm, which is also located in Haryana. Noverre is expected to make a big impact, considering the fact that Sohna has some top class mares acquired over a period of time from Goffs. He is also the sire of last year's Gr.1 Prix du Jockey-Club winner Le Havre, who is standing his first season at stud this spring.
Mid-Town (Danehill) who blazed the tracks at Japn was bought by the Radiant Bloodstock for Sans Craintes Stud Farm. Mid-Town unfortunately covered only one crop before a twisted colic ended his promising career. The first crop of Mid-Town is due to race during the winter season. There is great deal of expectation from the only crop of Mid-Town.
Royal Kingdom (Fairy King) caught the imagination of Indian race goers by siring multiple graded race winner Holding Court and Democraticus from his first crop itself. The progeny of Royal Kingdom have been doing quiet well. Royal Kingdom stands at the Equus Stud Farm.
