Try Your LuckTrainer Hosidar Daji has been fined Rs.5000/ for not declaring his charge TRY YOUR LUCK after having accepted to race with the mare.
Flying SpiritSoon after the start, FLYING SPIRIT (P. Belose) shifted out despite Jockey’s effort and went on to DUTCH ART (M. Narredu) forcing the latter to travel wide. An Enquiry into the comparative performance of FLYING SPIRIT was not initiated since the gelding had met with a severe interference in its previous run.
Dutch ArtThe saddle on DUTCH ART (M.Narredu) was observed to have slipped back during the race. On questioning, the Jockey informed that he could not do full justice to his mount due to the saddle slip. As such, Trainer MK Jadhav has been fined Rs.3000/ for faulty saddling of his charge.
NyalaAfter the race, NYALA was observed to be sore by the right hind leg. The filly has been stopped from racing until passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting.

White Hart LanePassing 1000 metres, WHITE HART LANE (Daniel M.Grant) was inconvenienced while racing on the inside of SADDLERS RULE (C.D.Hayes).
Step By StepAfter the race, STEP BY STEP was observed to have broken a blood vessel and has been stopped from racing for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

3 (81) THE H.H. TAPIA TROPHY

Star CrusaderNear 400 meters, STAR CRUSADER (M Narredu) shifted in and caused severe interference to BALANCE DE POWER ((Neeraj Rawaj). Jockey M Narredu was reported to the Stewards. The Stewards interviewed Jockey M Narredu and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him, held the Jockey guilty of Dangerous Riding and decided to suspend his Jockey’s License w.e.f. 16th March 2009 to 29th March 2009 (both days inclusive). (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race).
SkywardsJockey J.E.Pereira (SKYWARDS) reported loss of his whip near 550 Meters. Since the horse was out of contention and it was first instance of loss of whip during the current Mumbai Meeting, no action has been initiated against the Jockey beyond reminding him of the notice with regard to the Loss of Whip.
Silent PresenceSILENT PRESENCE (Amyn Merchant) hung out throughout the race. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

4 (82) THE M.N. NAZIR TROPHY

VantageVANTAGE (App N.S.Parmar) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. As such, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. DA VINCI (Vikram Walkar) took a fly jump, losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer P Shroff has been asked to show his charge VANTAGE in a mock race and Trainer M.K. Jadhav has been asked to give his charge DA VINCI more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Gentle KnightIn the final stages, GENTLE KNIGHT (B. Prakash) shifted in and inconvenienced CLARION CALL (Daniel M. Grant) who had to switch to the outside to make his bid. Jockey B. Prakash has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Misschevious TrotAfter the race, MISSCHEVIOUS TROT was found to have a wolf tooth on both the sides of its mouth.
Major WagerMAJOR WAGER (R Shelar) hungin in the straight. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Da VinciAfter the race, DA VINCI was observed to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

5 (83) THE BJETS MAHARAJA JIWAJIRAO SCINDIA TROPHY (GR. 3)
TERMS - 3 YEARS OLD & UPWARD		 1800M
3.30 P.M.
HugoHUGO (Nirmal Jodha) was placed fifth and VANQUISH (Saleem Golam) was placed sixth by the Judge.
Ruben StarTrainer Karthik G has been fined Rs.3000/ for not mentioning the name of the Jockey on the Declaration Form in respect of his charge RUBEN STAR.

6 (84) THE TIROL MILLION

Admirals QuestADMIRALS QUEST (G.Oza) was placed fifth and RIO DEL RAY (M.Narredu) was placed sixth by the Judge.
Rio Del RayAfter the race, RIO DEL RAY was found to have lost its right fore plate.
Tell Me MoreAfter being stalled, TELL ME MORE (S.A. De Sousa) played up in the stall. As such, the gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. VO who certified him fit to race. TELL ME MORE (SA De Sousa) hungin and RIO DEL RAY (M Narredu) hungout in the straight. Trainers Narendra Lagad and Vinayak have been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race their respect charge.

7 (85) THE GITANJALI INDIAN 1000 GUINEAS (GR. 1)
TERMS - 4 years old only		 1600M
4.45 P.M.
NoraNORA (C.Rajendra) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. As such, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Imtiaz A Sait has been asked to show the filly in a mock race to the Satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
Set AlightAt the start, SET ALIGHT (C.D.Hayes) shifted out and carried ATTRACTRESS (Daniel M Grant) outwards. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.
IcebreakerAfter the race, ICEBREAKER was observed to have an abrasion on its withers.
RiyasatRIYASAT (F.Norton) was placed fifth and ATTRACTRESS (Daniel M.Grant) was placed sixth by the Judge.

8 (86) THE SETH RAMNATH DAGA TROPHY
A Handicap for Horses rated 90 AND UPWARD		 1200M
5.30 P.M.
ShyboySHYBOY (Dashrath Singh) hungin in the straight and in the final stages shifted in despite Jockey’s effort and inconvenienced AVEC PLAISIR (C.Rajendra) who itself was inclined to hangin at that stage. Trainers S.S. Shah and Narendra Lagad have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charges before next accepting to race.
Kiara (O)At the start, KIARA (N.G. McCullagh) stumbled on her own. On questioning after the race, Jockey McCullagh stated that coming into the straight, the filly was moving well but did not respond when he had asked for an effort. He added that the stumble at the start may have had some bearing on her performance.
EnglehartENGLEHART (A.M.Tograllu) was slowly away losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Lago MedioAfter the race, LAGO MEDIO was observed to have a gum injury.

9 (87) THE MAHARASHTRA AND GUJARAT AREA TROPHY
