Zippity ZipZIPPITY ZIP (Imran Chisty) hung out in the straight. Trainer Faisal A Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Captains ZoneCAPTAINS ZONE (App.Ishwar Pardeshi) was restless in the stall and jumped out awkwardly. Tr.Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. CAPTAINS ZONE (App Ishwar Pardeshi, dr.2) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and jostled with SECRET AGENDA (S.N. Chavan, dr.3). Trainer Sangramsinh N Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. After the race, CAPTAINS ZONE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 8 weeks (Second time). The gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to race.

Start Me UpSTART ME UP was withdrawn on compassionate grounds.
ResilienceJockey J.E.Pereira (RESILIENCE) was observed to have made no apparent effort to control the outward movement of his mount in the final furlong, losing valuable ground, considering the short verdict by which RESILIENCE lost the race. When questioned Trainer Sangramsinh N Joshi expressed his displeasure with regard to the Jockeys riding effort. Not being satisfied with the explanation of Jockey J.E.Pereira, the matter was reported to the Stewards.
Black PartridgeSoon after the start, BLACK PARTRIDGE (App Shammi Khan) shifted in despite Jockeys effort and hampered the running of RAFTAAR (Nirmal Jodha). Trainer Magansingh P Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Attractive GirlAfter the race, ATTRACTIVE GIRL was found to have lost its left hind plate.
Golden GraceTrainer Mansoor Shah was questioned with regard to the performance of his charge GOLDEN GRACE (App.Ishwar Pardeshi). The trainer explained that his instructions were to be in a forward position and to do his best. He added that the mare was sluggish at the start. In her last outing in race no 146, which was run over 1800 meters, the pace was slow and the mare could go to the front but in this race she was sluggish and struggled. Also, this was the only time when she was ridden by a Jockey without a whip which may have proved to be a disadvantage. He added that he took a chance in this race considering that it was a race for horses that have run and not won in this Mumbai Season. He added that the mares best performance was in Race no 23 where she finished 4th and the mare is a maiden. The explanation was noted.
Anemos(OLD)After the race, ANEMOS was found to be sore by the left hind leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to race.

3 (166) THE INDIAN NAVY TROPHY (DIV-II)

The Brave HeartOn arrival at the Gates, THE BRAVE HEART was examined by the Clubs Sr.V.O. and found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn before coming under the Starters Order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to race.

Sepia ToneJockey Dashrath Singh (SEPIA TONE) has been fined Rs.1000/ for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

Master CraftOn arrival at the Gates, MASTER CRAFT was examined by the Clubs Sr.V.O. and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn before coming under the Starters Order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to race.
War Of Attrition(O)After being loaded WAR OF ATTRITION (C.Rajendra) was restless and kept kicking the rear Gates. The gelding was unloaded and examined by the Clubs Sr.V.O. and found to have sustained abrasions on both the hocks. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn before coming under the Starters Order. THREE OF ARTS (R.Shelar) was slow in the strides, losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainers Mansoor Shah and Subhag Singh have been asked to give their respective charges more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
Elementto AngelJockey Nirmal Jodha (ELEMENTTO ANGEL) has been fined Rs.1000/ for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

5 (168) THE SECRET TREASURE PLATE

Black PhantomAt the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, BLACK PHANTOM was examined on 03/04/2009 at 0745 hours and was found to be sore by the left fore leg. As such the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to race.
Forever AmberJockey Neeraj Rawal (FOREVER AMBER) reported that his mount was luggingin during the race. Trainer Imtiaz A Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
ArbudhThe Sr.V.O. reported that ARBUDH was examined after the race and found to be sound. The gelding had wolf tooth on both the sides of his mouth.
ItsracingafterallITSRACINGAFTERALL (App.D.S.Rathore) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Anil Kumar has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race. After the race, ITSRACINGAFTERALL was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to race.
ThandaApp N.S. Parmar (THANDA) reported that near 1000 meters, the filly threw her head up and shifted outwards despite his effort and raced along the outer rails. He further informed that in trying to control his mount, the bit slipped towards the right side. Trainer Vinayak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Flo NightingaleJockey P Sandeep (FLO NIGHTINGALE) reported loss of whip near 400 meters. Since the horse was out of contention and this was first time the Jockey had reported the loss of whip, no action has been initiated against him beyond reminding him of the notice with regard to loss of whip.

6 (169) THE A.F.S. TALYARKHAN TROPHY

AzulAZUL was withdrawn on compassionate grounds.
HereafterHEREAFTER (C.Rajendra) shifted in while being settled by its rider and in the process made contact with SEMPER EADEM (Neeraj Rawal) on a few occasions in the early part of the race. The matter was reported to the Stewards for such action as deemed fit. The Stewards at their meeting held on 5th April, 2009 interviewed Jockey C.Rajendra in connection with the above incident as also with regard to his riding on HEREAFTER in this race. The Stewards having heard Jockey C.Rajendra and viewing the video recording of the race, decided to adjourn the hearing and directed the Stipendiary Stewards to request Tr.C.D.Katrak to appear before the Stewards at their next meeting. After the race, HEREAFTER, when scoped, was found to have suffered a Grade III EIPH. The filly has been stopped from racing for the stipulated period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to race.
First EmpireNear 700 meters, FIRST EMPIRE (G Oza) was checked by its rider to avoid clipping the hind heels of SEMPER EADEM (Neeraj Rawal) and lost its position and in the process CHANAKYA (C.S.Jodha) who was racing behind FIRST EMPIRE lost its balance due to lack of room and put in an awkward stride and was checked, due to which SARDINIA (Zameer Sayyed) received interference. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated in the matter.

7 (170) THE MEMORIES OF YOU PLATE

Try Your LuckAt the request of Trainer Hosidar Daji, TRY YOUR LUCK was examined on 02/04/2009 at 1945 hours and was found to have colic and needed treatment. As such, TRY YOUR LUCK was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
CzechAt the request of Trainer Amjad Khan, CZECH was examined on 02/04/2009 at 1930 hours and was found to have fever. As such the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
Elementto TranceJockey Nirmal Jodha (ELEMENTTO TRANCE) has been fined Rs.3,000/ for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
Up NorthJockey Daniel M.Grant (UPNORTH) was observed to have used his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his third offence with regard to the use of whip, as per the notification, the matter was reported to the Stewards. The Stewards interviewed Jockey Daniel M.Grant in the above connection. Jockey Daniel M.Grant stated that UPNORTH was hanging out in the straight and he had used the whip as a corrective measure. The Stewards having viewed the video recording of the race, by a majority decided to give him the benefit of the doubt in this case and he was warned to be more careful in the future.
KhubsooratTrainer Asad Siddiqui has been fined Rs.1000/ for running his charge, KHUBSOORAT in colours other than those registered. The horse raced in emergency colours, All Black.
Sparrow HawkSPARROW HAWK (Vikram Jodha) reared up as the start was given.
