Romantic SceneJockey Neeraj Rawal (ROMANTIC SCENE) has been fined Rs.3000/ for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.
Ivanka(OL)IVANKA (Shailesh Shinde) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled and in the process kicked at the rear Gates. The filly was examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified her fit to race. Considering this and her behavior in her previous start, Trainer Vinayak has been asked to show the filly in a Mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
Party CelebrationAt the start, PARTY CELEBRATION (Daniel M.Grant) tried to veer to the outside and in the process lost ground. Trainer Bharat Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race. Trainer Bharat Singh and Jockey Daniel M.Grant were asked to meet the Stewards with regard to the poor performance of PARTY CELEBRATION in this race. Trainer Bharat Singh stated that PARTY CELEBRATION has a known history of being sluggish at start and he tries to lug out. Even in Race No.205 which he won over 1400 metres, the horse was slow out of the gates and tried to run out and the Jockey managed to bring him in with the help of the whip. Further, in that race also the Jockey was at the horse all the way and he was more than 10 lengths behind the lead horse entering the straight and it was only in the last 50 metres he moved fast and won the race. Seeing that run, he felt that a longer trip would suit him better and had entered him in this 1600 metres race and had fancied him to win and he had told the Jockey to ride his own race. However, the horse was again sluggish at the start and although the Jockey was at him all the way he did not show much response and was lying last and started moving in the final stages when the race was almost over, to finish third. He added that the horse had won in a lower class in Race No.205. He said that during the Mumbai Meeting 2006/07 also this horse had run a dismal race as a 10/3 On Money favourite and at that time also he was called before the Stewards to explain his performance.

3 (226) THE RAZA ALI PLATE

Black DahliaAfter the race, BLACK DAHLIA was observed to have an abrasion on both the stifles.
San JoseSAN JOSE (Nirmal Jodha) jumped out slowly, losing about 5 lengths at the start. Considering this and her behavior in her previous start, Trainer Bharat Singh has been asked to show the filly in a Mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
SaarahApp. A. M. Tograllu (SAARAH) reported that his saddle slipped back during the race, as such Trainer Jayantilal K.Gor has been fined Rs.2000/ for faulty saddling of his charge.
Tease MeTrainer Faisal A.Abbas and Jockey Samuel Fargeat were asked to meet the Stewards with regard to the poor performance of GYPSY QUEEN in this race. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas stated that in the previous race ie. Race No.154, GYPSY QUEEN had won a race in the lower class over a mile. In that race the filly was settled in 4th/5th position, however, she was keen throughout the race but luckily she was covered by horses which suited her. This time, the filly was running over 1400 metres in a higher class and he had instructed the Jockey to sit well up in 2nd/3rd position considering it was a shorter trip and to do his best in the straight and the Jockey had followed the instructions but the filly was very keen all the way and was running with her mouth open and the Jockey was trying to hold her and coming into the straight when the Jockey let her go, she fizzled out. He said that in retrospect he now felt that the best way to ride this filly was to settle her in 4th/5th position and to keep her covered up over a mile, as she was ridden in Race No.154. When asked to explain the drift in the odds, he said that he was unable to explain the drift in the odds, however, keeping in mind that the filly had won well in the previous race and had worked well after that, he had fancied the filly to win the race.
Simply PerfectSIMPLY PERFECT (Vikram Jodha) was inclined to lugout in the early part of the race. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

4 (227) THE MOUNT EVEREST TROPHY
TERMS - 3 years old only		 1000M
Veera WangNear 800 metres, MUSICAL RHYTHM (P.Belose) was inconvenienced when VEERA WANG (T.S.Jodha) shifted in. Jockey T.S. Jodha has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Snow BlindJockey Daniel M. Grant (SNOW BLIND) reported the loss of his whip about 100 metres from the winning post. Since this was the first incidence of his loss of whip, the Jockey has been cautioned and reminded of the notice with regard to the loss of whip. Trainer Bharat Singh and Jockey Daniel M.Grant were asked to meet the Stewards with regard to the running and riding of SNOW BLIND in this race. Trainer Bharat Singh stated that SNOW BLIND had shown good speed in her previous race i.e. Race No.180 and she was working very well after that, hence he had given the filly a good chance in this race. He said that the Jockey settled the filly in second position and coming into the straight when he came alongside the leader, she put her ears back and was hesitant to pass and also running green and when VEERA WANG passed her on the outside, she also lost the third place and he now felt that the filly needs Blinkers. When asked to explain the drift in the odds, Tr.Bharat Singh replied that he had given the filly a chance and he cannot explain the drift in the odds.
ItsracingafterallSoon after the start, ITSRACINGAFTERALL (R Rupesh) was observed to have hung in badly and jostled with HOLD THE THOUGHT (Ikram Khan) whereby Jockey R.Rupesh could not ride out to advantage. In view of this behavior of the horse, Trainer Anil Kumar has been asked to show ITSRACINGAFTERALL in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race.
Black PartridgeBLACK PARTRIDGE (Dashrath Singh) hung in badly soon after the start. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the horse to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race, before next accepting to race the gelding.
NoniosNONIOS (Anil Baandal) hung out in the straight. Trainer Amjad Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

5 (228) THE VALLABHDAS H. ADWALIA TROPHY -DIV-II

XiamenOn arrival at the Starting Gates, XIAMEN (App.Kishore Kadam) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to have sustained bleeding abrasion on her right stifle. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order.
Queens CourtTrainer Narendra Lagad lodged a verbal complaint against Jockey Shailesh Shinde with regard to the riding of QUEENS COURT. The Stipendiary Stewards will enquire into the matter and submit a report shortly.
Arabian SpeedAfter the race, ARABIAN SPEED was observed to have a bleeding gum injury.
Any Time MoneyTHE DREAMER (Vikram Jodha, dr.8) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to ARABIAN SPEED (T.S.Jodha, dr.7). Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against any Jockey.
Lone TrojanLONE TROJAN (Bhawar Singh) was restless in the Gates. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race
StefanoAfter the race, STEFANO was found to be sore by his right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

6 (229) THE REASON TO SMILE PLATE

Really RomanticApp.A.M.Tograllu (REALLY ROMANTIC) reported that his horse was inclined to lug in. Trainer Altamash A. Ahmed has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare. After the race, REALLY ROMANTIC was observed to have an abrasion on her left hind pastern.
Stud Of GoldSTUD OF GOLD R.Shelar) was restless in the Gate. Trainer S Mangalorkar has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
The DominatorThe Sr.V.O. reported that near 400 metres, THE DOMINATOR (V.Chandrakant) stumbled and the Jockey stopped riding. The gelding was removed to the Equine Hospital where he was diagnosed to have suffered fracture of the left pastern. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

Catalyst(O)Approaching the 1000 metres, CATALYST (Shailesh Shinde) clipped the hind heels of CATALUNYA (Sunny Chinoy) and stumbled. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against any Jockey. After the race, CATALUNYA was observed to have an abrasion on the left pastern.
