Nandanvanaa	Jockey N.M. Sequeira (NANDANVANAA) cautioned to be more vigorous in his efforts to be well up with the field in the initial stages of the race.

Bundle Of Roses	Jockey A. Ramana (BUNDLE OF ROSES) cautioned to ride out his mounts past the post in future.
Cogent	Jockey R. Laxmikanth (NAVIJA) fined Rs. 1,000/ for shifting in at about 150 metres causing interference to COGENT (R.B. SHINDE).

The Stewards suspended Jockey J.H. Christopher (CARTE BLANCHE) from riding in races with effect from 22nd to 24th January, 2009 both days inclusive for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in at about 400 metres in the process causing interference to NANO WAR (HARISH) racing on his inside. Permitted to ride work. Explanation of Jockey J.H. Christopher (CARTE BLANCHE) that his instructions were to sit close 2nd or 3rd which he had followed until entering into the straight but thereafter the gelding did not raise a winning gallop inspite of his best efforts, was confirmed by Trainer D. Netto. Both explanations of Trainer and rider were noted for future reference. However the gelding has been sampled.

Power Play

Trainer K. Satheesh was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for the dismal performance of his charge POWER PLAY (S. SREEKANT).

Green Vision	GREEN VISION (CH K. CHARY) was denied a clear run soon after the start.
Chamatkar	Explanation of Jockey R.B. Shinde (CHAMATKAR) that his instructions were to go to the front, which he had followed, but the gelding had blown up in the last 300 metres inspite of his efforts was confirmed by Trainer J. Silvester. Explanations of Trainer J. Silvester and Jockey R.B. Shinde were noted for future reference.
