Embraceable

EMBRACEABLE (App Amandeep Singh) was very fractious while being loaded into its stall. Tr. D M David was advised to school his charge appropriately before accepting with it again. App Amandeep Singh(EMBRACEABLE) was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for not maintaining a proper course while rounding the bend thereby causing inconvenience to PINE VALLEY (C Alford) on his outside. App Amandeep Singh was spoken to in the presence of Tr. D M David and his master Tr Mr. E Bhungard about the importance of keeping a proper course while rounding the bend. Further, he was informed that repetition of a similar manner of riding would entail him being reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.

Swift Fire

SWIFT FIRE (N Akhtar) and FIGHTING STAR (C Ruzzan) were very fractious while being loaded into their stalls. Trs. Mr. D M David and Mr. Javed Khan were advised to school their charges appropriately before accepting with them again.

3	(72)	THE D L DORJI MEMORIAL CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 90	1600M

Highly Fashionable	HIGHLY FASHIONABLE (App Ajay Roy) was slow to begin losing approximately two lengths at the start. App Ajoy Roy, the rider of HIGHLY FASHIONABLE, was reprimanded for shifting “in” and inconveniencing STERLING MAGIC (App Arman Khan) approaching the 1000 metres.
Sea Monarch	SEA MONARCH (Jockey D K Ashish) kept an erratic course in the final 400 metres. The jockey was advised to exercise greater control over his mounts.
Solid Success	SOLID SUCCESS (Brij Shaw) was very fractious in the stall. Approaching the 1100 metres SOLID SUCCESS (Brij Shaw) gradually drifted “outwards” approximately 7 horses off the inner rail, thereafter violently shifted to the outer rail approaching the 700 metres and later rejoined the rest of the field approaching the 400 metres. In view of its behaviour, Tr. Rutherford Alford was informed not to accept with his charge again till it is shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.

5	(74)	THE VIJAY SICKA MEMORIAL CUP - DIV-I A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 50	1200M

Roxy	ROXY (C Ruzzan) kept an erratic course in the final 200 metres thereby inconveniencing ALAMGIR (D K Ashish) galloping on his inside.
Ferrazza	FERRAZZA (Pawan Sharma) and MYSTRO (Afzal Khan) were slow to begin.

Bright Blossom	Jockey Afzal Khan, the rider of BRIGHT BLOSSOM, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/ for excessive use of the whip on his mount (1st offence).
Astro Boy	ASTRO BOY (D K Ashish) was very fractious while being loaded into its stall. Tr. D Karki was advised to school his charge appropriately before accepting with it again.
Firing Power	FIRING POWER (Surjeet Singh) was slow to begin.

7	(76)	THE CALCUTTA OAKS (2008-09)(GRADE-III) TERMS - 3 & 4 years old	2400M

Inspiring Trust

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of INSPIRING TRUST, reported that his mount was not striding out freely in the final 400 metres of the race. The filly was impounded for veterinary examination. The Sr. Veterinary Officer reported that on examination no abnormality was noticed. Tr. Vijay Singh deputizing for Tr. D Byramji was informed to keep his charge under observation and report any ailment noticed on his charge within the next 48 hours.

8	(77)	THE CALCUTTA GOLD CUP(GRADE II) TERMS - 4 YEARS OLD & UPWARD	1600M

Priapus	Jockey Md. Islam, the rider of PRIAPUS, was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course in the final 50 metres of the race thereby allowing his mount to shift “in” and inconvenience ECHOES OF LIGHT (S Narredu).
Elusive Study	ELUSIVE STUDY (Neeraj Rawal), AQUILO (M Reuben) and RIGHT AGAIN (App Amandeep Singh) were slow to begin.

9	(78)	THE T N BANERJEA CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 30	1400M

Going Starry

GOING STARRY (Afzal Khan) drifted to the outer portion of race track in the final 400 metres of the race. Tr. Mr. Bath was advised to take appropriate corrective measures. Jockey Afzal Khan, the rider of GOING STARRY, was severely reprimanded for starting his victory celebrations before passing the winning post. He was further informed that a repetition of this undesirable practice would entail him to disciplinary action.
