Bazukab c BAZUKA (Pintu Das) was examined by the Veterinary Officer before the start of the race and found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the colt was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. C Gleich was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Dance In ChinaTr. Vikash Jaiswal when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge DANCE IN CHINA as compared to its previous run in Race No. 125 on 17th January, 2015 where it finished off board, stated that the horse ran in Race No. 125 after a lay off of more or less two months which was due to a cut injury on its hind leg. Further, that race was for horses Rated 2146 unlike today which was for horses Rated 126. He continued by stating that in today’s race his charge was allowed to steal the race from the other runners by taking a long lead in the middle stages of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanation.

AmandusApproaching the 700 metres marker AMANDUS (DK Ashish) travelling between LANCER’S DREAM (A M Tograllu) on the inside and MASSACHUSETTES (Arman Khan) on the outside was buffeted for room.
Lancer's DreamLANCER`S DREAM (A M Tograllu) was slow to begin.
ZegnaJockey David Allan, the rider of ZEGNA, reported that his mount was unable to gallop freely during the race due to a substantial amount of ‘kick back’ of soil from the front runners. The colt was subsequently examined by the Veterinary Officer and was observed to have developed a swelling on its right eye.
Pinball WizardThe Veterinary Officer reported that PINBALL WIZARD returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. Shafiq Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

3 (138) THE B K PODDAR CUP

DayavanSANJIT (A M Tograllu) and UPTOWN GIRL (Arman Khan) were fractious while being stalled.
SanteroApproaching the distance post SANTERO (C Alford) attempting to make a run between SANJIT (A M Tograllu) and KANYA KALYAN (Shailesh Shinde) was momentarily inconvenienced when SANJIT shifted ‘outwards’. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Tograllu was shown the CCTV replay of the race and reprimanded for failing to exercise adequate control over his mount when placing it under pressure.
Uptown GirlUPTOWN GIRL (Arman Khan) which was very fractious in its stall fly jumped out from the gates and thereafter refused to raise a fluent gallop for some distance. In view of its behaviour Tr. R G Gowli was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

4 (139) THE ALBERT PIPERNO MEMORIAL CUP

AashiquiAASHIQUI (N S Parmar) was fractious while being stalled.
FlashFLASH (Vikash Tamang) and SOKUDO (Imran Chisty) were fractious in their respective stalls.
AmikaAMIKA (Sk Zaffar Riaz) and JAMAICAN (Md Islam) were slow to begin. The Veterinary Officer reported that AMIKA eturned lame on left fore. Tr. C Glich was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

5 (140) THE INDIAN CHAMPAGNE STAKES (GR.3)

MultitudeMULTITUDE (Suraj Narredu) and SPEEDY GONSALVES (C Alford) were fractious while being stalled.
StevalenaJockey I Chisty, the rider of STEVALENA, reported that he lost his whip approaching the distance post and that his mount was inclined to hang ‘in’ throughout the race. Tr. Bharath Singh was advised to take appropriate remedial measures.
ClaymoreCLAYMORE (P Kamlesh) and LORD OF LIGHT (Arman Khan) were fractious in their respective stalls.

6 (141) THE REPUBLIC CUP

ConfidenceJockey P Kamlesh, the rider of CONFIDENCE, was reprimanded for coming ‘in’ sharply soon after the start thereby tightening the horses on its inside.
ScuderiaSCUDERIA (David Allan) was slow to begin.
CopernicusCOPERNICUS (Shailesh Shinde) was slow to begin losing considerable ground at the start. Tr. Javed Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.
Kwan YinApproaching the 800 metres KWAN YIN (Nelson Maseyk) travelling along the rails was checked by its jockey and lost some ground when running into the heels of BIZARRO (D K Ashish).

7 (142) THE MOON FAIRY HANDICAP
A Handicap for Horses rated 21 TO 46

Highly ExplosiveHIGHLY EXPLOSIVE (Nelson Maseyk) was fractious while being stalled. Jockey Nelson Maseyk, the rider of HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that he was instructed to settle the horse wherever possible and to do his best in the straight but not to push too hard as the gelding was running after a long lay due to a previous injury. On being questioned Tr. Vikash Jaiswal corroborated the jockey’s statements.
