A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 19		 1200M
Arabian DiamondCHAK DE was withdrawn on compassionate grounds.
Solid RockAt the start, SOLID ROCK (PS Chouhan, dr.6) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and ABOVE ALL (TS Jodha, dr.8) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside which resulted in SPARROW HAWK (AM Tograllu, dr.7) being crowded. As ABOVE ALL (TS Jodha) was steadied, the gelding shifted out and forced LADY TROOPER (Kishore Kadam) to travel wide. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone. SOLID ROCK (PS Chouhan) hung out in the straight. Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. After the race, SOLID ROCK was found to have lost its left fore plate.
Sea SpriteJockey Satish Nayak (SECRET AGENDA) has been fined Rs.1000/ for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
KhubsooratJockey CS Jodha (KHUBSOORAT) has been fined Rs.5000 for dropping his hands before the winning post thereby losing 3rd place. Jockey CS Jodha (KHUBSOORAT) reported loss of whip near 300 meters from the Wining Post.

2 (224) THE W. BUCKLEY PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 26 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1400M
Elementto TranceJockey Nirmal Jodha (ELEMENTTO TRANCE) was questioned regarding his riding effort on his mount. The Jockey stated that he was asked to be in 3rd or 4th position and to do his best. The Jockey added that the horse had not responded to his urgings and was not improving at all in the race and was reluctant to take the gap between the two front horses. The explanation was noted.
Can CanAfter the race, CAN CAN was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club`s VO before next accepting to race.
VarunAt the start, VARUN (CS Jodha) shifted in and jostled with GOLDEN ORRA (AM Tograllu) who in turn shifted in and jostled with SUDDEN IMPACT (App Shammi Khan). Jockey CS Jodha was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding.
Arabian GuestNear 1200 meters, ARABIAN GUEST (DK Ashish) was observed to be uncomfortable and was pulled up by its Rider and did not complete the race.

3 (225) THE R.J. KOLAH TROPHY
TERMS - 3 year old maidens only		 1400M
Si Como NoOn arrival at the Gates, SI COMO NO was examined by the Club`s Sr. VO and was found to sore by the right fore leg and as such was withdrawn before coming under the Starter`s Orders. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club`s VO before next accepting to race.
Star AllianceApproaching 200 meters, STAR ALLIANCE (PS Chouhan) was inconvenienced when TUDOR REGENT (Satish Nayak) shifted out more than the Jockey had expected and took its running.

4 (226) THE KARL UMRIGAR TROPHY (DIV-II)

Marine ZoneIn the final furlong, MARINE ZONE (Nirmal Jodha) shifted ground inwards despite Jockey`s effort and carried GOLDEN KINGDOM (AM Tograllu) along with it. Trainer Sangramsinh N Joshi has been asked to take remedial measure before next accepting to race the filly.
Golden Kingdom (O)Passing 200 Meters, GOLDEN KINGDOM (AM Tograllu) shifted out under use of the whip and forced MARINE ZONE (Nirmal Jodha) to travel wide. Jockey AM Tograllu was fined Rs. 3000/ for improper use of the whip. The Stewards after the last considered the above report and after viewing the video recording of the race, decided to enhance the fine imposed on Jockey A.M.Tograllu from Rs.3,000/ to Rs.5,000/.
Siooux ChiefJockey S Shiva Kumar (SIOOUX CHIEF) has been fined Rs.3000/ for allowing his mount to shift out and in the process forcing AMADOMIO (App Shrkant Kamble) to shift out in the straight.
AmadomioAfter the race AMADOMIO was found to go short by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club`s VO before next accepting to race.
Chieftain (O)At the start, CHIEFTAIN (App DS Rathore) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside.
In FlightIN FLIGHT (Vikram Jodha) trailed the field.

5 (227) THE M.M.T. PANDOLE PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1400M
GatravatAt the request of Trainer Robert D`Mellow, GATRAVAT was examined at 1015 hours on 25/04/2009 and was found to be sore by the left hind and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit to race by the Club`s VO before next accepting to race.
KaiAt the request of Trainer Rehanullah Khan, KAI was examined at 1030 hours on 26/04/2009 and was found to be sore by the right fore leg and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit to race by the Club`s VO before next accepting to race.
YourethetouchAfter the race, YOURETHETOUCH was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club`s VO. before next accepting to race.

6 (228) THE KARL UMRIGAR TROPHY (DIV-I)

SnowdenAfter the race, SNOWDEN was found to have a wolf tooth on the left side of her mouth.
The TempestTHE TEMPEST (Imran Chisty) stumbled at the start. Near 600 meters, THE TEMPEST (Imran Chisty) was steadied while racing between GLOBAL SPIRIT (Daniel M Grant) on its inside and KING`S TROOP (App DS Rathore) on its outside.
Rave OnSoon after the start, RAVE ON (P Sandeep) shifted in due to which ALASKA (Zameer Sayyed) shied away and went on to THEODORUS (YS Srinath) causing the latter to be checked. Jockey P Sandeep has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount. Near 550 meters, RAVE ON (P Sandeep) was inconvenienced when SLICKKIT (TS Jodha) shifted in. Jockey TS Jodha has been asked to be more careful.

A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 86 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1200M
Elementto AngelJockey DK Ashish (ELEMENTTO ANGEL) has been fined Rs.1000/ for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount and Rs.2000/ for improper use of the whip wherein he has used his whip with the right hand while his mount was shifting out. When questioned, the Jockey stated that he was asked to use the whip freely which was confirmed by Trainer S Shaikh. As such, Trainer S Shaikh has been fined Rs.3000/ for causing a breach of the notice with regard to use of whip.
Three Of ArtsTHREE OF ARTS (N.S.Parmar) was slow in the strides, losing about 2 lengths.
Native StrategyNATIVE STRATEGY (Daniel M Grant) stumbled at the start.
Beau MondeAfter the race, BEAU MONDE was observed to go short by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club`s VO before next accepting to race.

9 (231) THE H.C. CLIFTON PLATE

Tommy CarmichaelNear 700 meters, TOMMY CARMACHAEL (SP Ranjane) leaned on to LIGHTNING CAVALRY (AM Tograllu).
UrujURUJ (T.S.Jodha) was slow in its strides, losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Force Of LawAfter the race, FORCES OF LAW was found to be sound but was coughing while being examined. BORN SPECIAL had an abrasion on both the hind fetlocks.
