A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 45		 2000M
IlluminatiILLUMINATI (M Maseyk) planted in the gate and thereafter on jumping out swerved to the left thereby losing considerable ground. The Starting Stall Certificate of ILLUMINATI has been revoked by the starter.

2 (35) THE REGAL STAR PLATE
TERMS - 2 year old maidens only		 1200M
ErosOn the morning of Sunday, 28th November,2010, the Sr. Veterinary Officer examined b c EROS, a declared starter in the race, and found it to be lame on its right fore. Under the circumstances the colt was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. P Shroff was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.
Lake SpiritApproaching the distance post LAKE SPIRIT (P A Culhane) was inconvenienced when SHERSHAH (Md. Shabbani) drifted ‘outwards’. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Md. Shabbani was shown the CCTV replay of the race and reprimanded for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
SartajSARTAJ (App Mohit Singh) drifted to the outer portion of the race track approaching the 300 metres. Tr. Jasbir Singh was advised to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with his charge again.
Magical Star(O)MAGICAL STAR (C P Manasseh) was fractious while being stalled.

3 (36) THE ROMANTIC NOTES HANDICAP (DIV-I)

DiyenaTr. Jasbir Singh when questioned regarding the improved performance of ch f DIYENA placed 2nd by the Judge as compared to its previous run in Race No. 26 of the Calcutta Cold Weather Season 20102011 run on 19th November, 2010, stated that while he was pleased with her performance, he had no plausible explanation for its improvement. The Stipendiary Stewards while noting his explanation, impressed upon him the necessity of maintaining a degree of consistency between the runs of his charges.
Blood RayneApp Md. Sameer, the rider of BLOOD RAYNE, when questioned regarding the running of his mount stated that he was instructed to be positioned 4th/5th in the early part of the race and thereafter to do his best. However, on jumping out of the gates, he was unable to follow the trainer’s instructions due to the crowding of the field. The Stipendiary Stewards after viewing the CCTV replay of the race in the presence of the apprentice and Tr. Vikash Jaiswal cautioned the apprentice to make a greater effort to follow the trainer’s instructions and reprimanded him for allowing his mount to travel wide off the field approaching the 400 metres for no apparent reason.
Pine ValleyPINE VALLEY (App Vikash Tamang) and THE GORDIAN KNOT (Salim Khan) were slow to begin.
The Gordian KnotJockey Salim Khan, the rider of THE GORDIAN KNOT, reported that his mount was not inclined to raise a fluent gallop in the early part of the race, however, it finished off the race rather well.

4 (37) THE ROMANTIC NOTES HANDICAP (DIV-II)
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 45		 1200M
ConquistaroseApp Shezad Khan, the rider of CONQUISTAROSE, was fined a sum of Rs.1,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st offence).
River PrideJockey P A Culhane, the rider of RIVER PRIDE, was fined a sum of Rs.1,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st offence).
Regal JewelREGAL JEWEL (App Arman Khan) and SALSA STAR (App Pintu Das) were slow to begin losing approximately two lengths at the start.
AestheticsAESTHETICS (Salim Khan) planted, losing considerable ground at the start consequently, taking no practical part in the race. The Starting Stall Certificate of AESTHETICS has been revoked by the Starter.

5 (38) THE ROMANTIC LIAISON CUP (DIV-I)
A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 65		 1200M
AbayaABAYA (Nirmal Jodha) and AVALANCHE STAR (App B Srinivas Rao) were fractious while being stalled. Jockey Nirmal Jodha, the rider of ch m ABAYA when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that approaching the 800 metres he received a check from MUST BE MAGIC (App Arman Khan) and thereafter approaching the 400 metres when he was able to put his mount under pressure the mare finished off the race well. The Stipendiary Stewards while noting his explanation cautioned him that he must ride his mounts in such a manner that leaves no room for query.
Must Be MagicApp Arman Khan, the rider of MUST BE MAGIC, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 300 metres.
Bravo ItalianoBRAVO ITALIANO (Asghar) was fractious in its stall.
Blue MountainBLUE MOUNTAIN (Vinay Jaiswal) was slow to begin.

6 (39) THE ROMANTIC LIAISON CUP (DIV-II)
A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 65		 1200M
MandiraSoon after jumping out of the gates MANDIRA (App Babu Singh, drawn 7) was inconvenienced when CUBA LIBRE (App Arman Khan, drawn 8) shifted ‘inwards’ and ARBROATH (C Alford, drawn 5) shifted ’outwards’. Both App Arman Khan and Jockey C Alford were shown the CCTV replay of the race and reprimanded for failing to exercise proper control over their mounts.
Brave MoveBRAVE MOVE (Shailesh Shinde) was slow to begin losing approximately two lengths at the start.
BaskervilleJockey P Kamlesh, the rider of b g BASKERVILLE, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that the gelding did not respond to his continuous urgings and performed below his expectations. Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor when questioned regarding the performance of her charge, stated that she was disappointed with the gelding’s performance and believed that her charge was not capable of performing well in its present class. She also informed the Stipendiary Stewards that subsequent to its previous run in the Monsoon Meeting in Race No. 96 run on 18th September, 2010, the gelding was treated for stiffness in the back. The Stipendiary Stewards noted the explanations.
AccessorACCESSOR (App Shezad Khan) was slow to begin. ACCESSOR (App Shezad Khan) ran detached from the field. Tr. Bath was advised not to accept with his charge until it is shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.

7 (40) THE HASKELL DAVID MEMORIAL TROPHY
A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 85		 1400M
Awesome IndianApproaching the 700 metres in a tightly packed field, AWESOME INDIAN (M Maseyk) travelling along the rails was checked by its rider and lost some ground, in the process AVESCO (Shailesh Shinde) travelling behind was inconvenienced.
King Of DanceKING OF DANCE (App J S Gowli) was slow to begin. KING OF DANCE (App J S Gowli) which was running detached from the field in the early and middle stages of the race finished off the race with flourish.
