Blue Daffodils

At the start, BLUE DAFFODILS (Nirmal Jodha) shifted out and made contact with THUNDERING HOOVES (Daniel M. Grant). Jockey Nirmal Jodha has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Eagle Mountain

EAGLE MOUNTAIN (A.J.Nilesh) jumped out awkwardly, inconveniencing the horses on the inside. As such, Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race. At the start, EAGLE MOUNTAIN (A.J.Nilesh) threw its head up and shifted inwards and made contact with KISS AWAY (F.Norton). Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with the gelding.

2	(2)	THE BLAZE THE TRACK PLATE (DIV-I) A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 26 - (4 years old only)	1200M

Real Dream	At the request of Trainer Jayantilal K Gor, REAL DREAM was examined on 31st January 2009 in the morning and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Calypso Dancer	CALYPSO DANCER (F.Norton) was inclined to drift out despite jockey’s effort. Trainer S.K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Sail Thru	Soon after the start, SAIL THRU (App. Shrikant Kamble, dr.10) cut across the field sharply. As such Apprentice Shrikant Kamble has been fined Rs.3000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount and severely warned for the future.
Culcrieff	Soon after the start, CULCRIEFF (Zameer Sayyed) and CALYPSO DANCER (F.Norton) were involved in jostle with each other.
Marine Zone	Jockey Vikram Walkar (MARINE ZONE) reported that soon after the start his right stirrup got unbuckled and hung loosely on the side. No action was initiated against the Jockey since the equipment was found to be in serviceable condition.

King Of The Ring(old	Near 400 meters, KING OF THE RING (Dashrath Singh) made his move on the outside of TE QUIERO (V.Chandrakant) and forced CHARGING RHINO (Zameer Sayyed) to shift out, who in turn forced MAGICAL MANTRA (P.Belose) to shift out, as a result DOUBLE DELITE (R. Shelar) was forced to travel wider. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been reprimanded for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
The Giant	Soon after the start, THE GIANT (V. Kotwal) shifted in and inconvenienced KING OF THE RING (Dashrath Singh). Jockey V.Kotwal has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Captains Zone	After the race, CAPTAINS ZONE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

Casual Look	After the race, CASUAL LOOK was observed to have lost its left fore plate.
Vijayi Bhava	VIJAYI BHAVA (Nadeem Alam) was slowly away losing about a distance at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been advised to take remedial measures and to show the mare in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter and the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race.
Red Chili	After the race, RED CHILI was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

5	(5)	THE SIR CHARLES FORBES TROPHY (DIV-II) A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 86	1200M
			3.00 P.M.

Blue Vision

After the race, BLUE VISION was observed to have a gum injury, HERE COMES THE DON had an abrasion on the right nostril and AURORA AUREALIS had an abrasion on the left hind pastern.

Wafadar

Near 1000 meters, WAFADAR (C.Rajendra) shifted in and made contact with FAIR TACTICS (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey C. Rajendra has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount. After the race, WAFADAR was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

6	(6)	THE MUMBAI MARTYRS` MEMORIAL TROPHY (DIV-II) A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)	1200M
			3.30 P.M.

Lovely Feelings	Passing 400 meters, LOVELY FEELINGS hung out for a brief period. Trainer SS Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting with the mare.
Destined Prince	Passing 1000 meters, DESTINED PRINCE (Vikram Walkar) shifted in and inconvenienced GOLD BISCUIT (I Shaikh). Jockey Vikram Walker has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Sudden Impact	Jockey Dashrath Singh (SUDDEN IMPACT) reported that at the start his mount threw its head up due to which he lost his balance and lost his right stirrup which he regained after sometime. Travelling some distance further, the Blinkers began to flap which continued to happen till the Blinkers fell on the ground near 400 meters and this resulted in the bridle becoming loose and hence the jockey was unable to ride out his mount to complete advantage. On examination, the blinker was found to be in unserviceable condition. Considering that it was a declared equipment, the loss of which affected the performance of the horse, Tr. Magansingh P. Jodha has been fined Rs. 5000/ for faulty application of the equipment.
Any Time Money	After the race, ANY TIME MONEY was observed to have a gum injury

Polariser	POLARISER (App.Kishore Kadam) jumped out awkwardly. Trainer Jayantilal K.Gor has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice before next accepting to race. Trainer Jayantilal K.Gor and App. Kishore Kadam were questioned with regard to the running and riding of POLARISER and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by App.Kishore Kadam, the matter was reported to the Stewards. The Stewards interviewed Trainer Jayantila K.Gor and App.Kishore Kadam and having heard the submissions made by them and viewing the video recording of the race, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by App.Kishore Kadam. However, they decided to give him the benefit of the doubt for the charge of “unsatisfactory riding” and held him guilty of Incompetent Riding and suspended his Jockey’s License w.e.f. 15th February 2009 to 19th February 2009 (both days inclusive) in that, he had not made sufficient efforts to take a proper position in the early part of the race and kept an erratic course and did not ride out with the rhythm of the horse in the final stages of the race. (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race). Further, he was severely warned for the future
Absolut	Jockey Sunny Chinoy (ABSOLUT) has been fined Rs.3000/ for failing to persevere with his mount till past the Post thereby losing 3rd Place.
Game Of Talent	After the race, GAME OF TALENT was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind coronet.
Tullamore	Approaching 800 meters, TULLAMORE (SP Ranjane) was tightened for room and dropped back and while doing so clipped the hind heels of ROYAL CROWN (C Rajendra) and stumbled. The incident was accidental, as such no action was initiated against any rider.

			4.30 P.M.

Pillatus	Trainer Bezan Chenoy requested for withdrawal of his charge, PILLATUS after the Acceptance stage due to late realization of the medication given to the horse. The horse was permitted to be withdrawn and Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been fined Rs.5000/ for his lapse.
Angels Glory	ANGELS GLORY (YS Srinath) hung out in the final stages of the race. Trainer Karthik G has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.

9	(9)	THE SEASON`S BEST PLATE (DIV-I) A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 26	1000M
			5.00 P.M.

Ekhabinskya	Soon after the start, EKHABINSKYA (Sunny Chinoy) shifted in due to which CHEROKEE (Daniel M. Grant) shifted in and inconvenienced BLACK PARTRIDGE (M.Narredu). Traveling some distance further, EKHABINSKYA (Sunny Chinoy) shifted in and caused interference to MYSTERIO (S.A.De Sousa). Jockey Sunny Chinoy has been fined Rs.3000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Nymph	NYMPH (App.N.S.Parmar) was slowly out losing about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to give the filly more gate practice before next accepting to race.

10	(10)	THE BLAZE THE TRACK PLATE (DIV-II) A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 26 - (4 years old only)	1200M
			TIME: 5.30 P.M.

Lilac Time(OLD)	LILAC TIME (App.A.M.Tograllu) stopped galloping abruptly and tried to whirl around thus dislodging the rider immediately after the start. In view of this behaviour, Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the filly in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
Force Of Law	After the race, FORCE OF LAW was observed to have lost its left hind plate.
Es Sider	Jockey Imran Chisty (ES SIDER) has been fined Rs.3000/ for improper use of the whip wherein he has kept an erratic course in the final stages of the race under the use of the whip.
