FootprintsThe Veterinary Officer was requested to examine FOOTPRINTS and BEAUTIFUL and submit his reports.
BeautifulJockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of BEAUTIFUL, reported that his mount was lacking initial speed as such he was unable to keep up with the field in spite of his best efforts during the initial and middle stages of the race. He further stated that the filly was finishing on and in his opinion needs a longer trip which he has shared with his Trainer, was noted. The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine FOOTPRINTS and BEAUTIFUL and submit his reports. Following the race day morning BEAUTIFUL was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be trotting sound.
LightintheskyJockey Nikhil Naidu (LIGHTINTHESKY) was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/ for allowing his mount to shift out soon after jump out causing tightening of the field on the outside.

Island LassISLAND LASS which was fractious, reared up and turned around in its stall . The filly was pulled out, checked by the Veterinary Officer and passed fit to race.

5 (84) THE HONGKONG JOCKEY CLUB CUP

GaelGAEL was fractious in its stall, tried to duck out, eventually flipped over and fell, in the process the bridle used on the colt came off. As there was insufficient time to refit the equipment, get the colt examined by the Vet, GAEL was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. Vijay Singh was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.
Kind Of MagicJockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of KIND OF MAGIC, reported that his mount veered outwards as the start was effected.
Sweet LegacySWEET LEGACY was slow to begin. Jockey Md Islam, the rider of CHARMING PRINCE, was reprimanded for shifting course towards the inside rails passing the 600 metres causing inconvenience to SWEET LEGACY (Vinay Jaiswal).
