JazzegoSoon after the start, JAZZEGO (Riyaz Shaikh) shifted in under use of the whip and went across TRIBAL WARRIOR (R.Rupesh) and then took the running of NEEDFORSPEED (Daniel M. Grant). Jockey Riyaz Shaikh has been fined Rs.2000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
ModestyAfter the race, MODESTY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

Quest For JusticeSoon after entering the straight, QUEST FOR JUSTICE (L.Prashant) shifted out under use of the whip and forced PUERTO CABELLO (M.Narredu) to travel wide. Jockey L.Prashant has been fined Rs.1000/ for improper use of the whip. After the race, QUEST FOR JUSTICE was observed to go short by her right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

Tigresse NoireJockey Y.S.Srinath (TIGRESS NOIRE) reported that passing 600 metres his mount lost her footing whereby he lost his balance. After the race, TIGRESSE NOIRE was observed to be bleeding from the mouth.

3 (166) THE WHYTE & MACKAY CHALLENGE
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46		 2400M
Urban WarriorApp. A.M.Tograllu (URBAN WARRIOR) has been fined Rs.3000/ for raising his hand as a victory sign before passing the winning post.
Whiskey BanditRelying on a report from the Sr.V.O. Trainer Subhag Singh was fined Rs.2000/ for declaring incorrect shoeing on his mount WHISKEY BANDIT. The colt was found to have Aluminium Hind bare whereas the colt was declared with Aluminium All Four. The colt raced with Aluminium with Hind Bare in its previous start. Passing the 1000 meters, WHISKEY BANDIT (P.S.Chouhan) suddenly jostled with ETERNAL FLIGHT (Amyn Merchant) who was on his outside. Jockey P.S.Chouhan has been fined Rs.1000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount. Near 1200 meters, WHISKEY BANDIT (P.S.Chouhan) was observed to have suddenly dropped back and then from the 800 meters twice lugged in on to EAGLE MOUNTAIN (Samuel Fargeat) thus inconveniencing the latter and in the straight, the colt ducked in sharply. In view of this bahaviour of the colt Tr. Subhag Singh has been asked to show him in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race the colt.
Phoenix RisingSoon after the start, PHOENIX RISING (App. Kishore Kadam) shifted in and caused interference to WHISKEY BANDIT (P.S.Chouhan) App. Kishore Kadam has been fined Rs.2000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Diplomatic LicenceThe left rein on DIPLOMATIC LICENCE (App.Shailesh Shinde) snapped soon after the start and the Jockey could not do justice to his mount. Since the equipment was found to be in serviceable condition, no action has been initiated against the Jockey. After the race, DIPLOMATIC LICENCE was observed to be sore by his right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

4 (167) BLACK DOG PROUDLY OLD FASHIONED TROPHY
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46		 1000M
Lightning Bolt(O)LIGHTNING BOLT (S.P.Ranjane) took a fly jump. LIGHTNING BOLT (S.P.Ranjane, dr.7) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and SUPREME SWORD (R. Shelar, dr.6) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and jostled with each other. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against any jockey. Soon after the start, LIGHTNING BOLT (S.P.Ranjane) shifted in and crowded the field on his inside, as a result of which MAZAN (App.Shailesh Shinde), PARIS HILTON (Richard Mullen) and KING OF THE RING (Dashrath Singh) received severe interference. Jockey S.P.Ranjane was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding The Stewards interviewed Jockey S.P.Ranjane in the above connection and having heard the submissions made by him and viewing the video recording of Race No.167, held Jockey S.P.Ranjane guilty of careless riding on his mount LIGHTNING BOLT. The Stewards also considered Jockey S.P.Ranjane’s past record. The Stewards decided to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 18th February, 2008 to 6th March, 2008 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, he was severely cautioned for the future.
Supreme SwordSoon after the start, SUPREME SWORD (R.Shelar) was observed to hang in and lost ground in the process of being straightened to avoid any interference to the inside horse.
King Of The Ring(oldAfter the race, KING OF THE RING was observed to have an abrasion on the right fore fetlock.

TERMS - 4 YEARS OLD & UPWARD		 1600M
Rhapsidion SnowSoon after jump out, RHAPSIDION SNOW (Ranjeet Singh) stumbled on her own, whereby the rider lost his balance and was dislodged.
DiabolicalAfter the race, DIABOLICAL was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

6 (169) THE B.K. RATTONSEY MEMORIAL MAIDEN MILLION
TERMS - 3 years old only		 1200M
Pretty CommissionPRETTY COMMISSION (Daniel M.Grant) was placed fifth and EXCELLENT STORY (C.Alford) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
Clarion CallLORD KALA (L.Dettori) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. In view of this as also the gelding’s fractious behaviour in the last run, Tr.Altaf Hussain has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race, before next accepting to race.

7 (170) THE MCDOWELL INDIAN DERBY (GRADE 1)
TERMS - 4 years old only		 2400M
Sweeping SuccessJockeys Y.S.Srinath (NITROUS), B.Prakash (SWEEPING SUCCESS) and C.D.Hayes (NOBLE PRINCE) have been fined Rs.1000/ each for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on their mounts.
Bourbon KingRETRIBUTION (L.Dettori) was placed fifth and REGAL CONNECTION (C.Alford) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
Mountain BearAfter the race, MOUNTAIN BEAR was observed to have an abrasion on both hind cannon.
Czar AlexanderApproaching 600 meters, CZAR ALEXANDER (M Narredu) was tightened for room while racing between BOURBON KING (Colm O’Donoghue) on his outside and GOBELIN (K.P.G.Appu) on his inside.
Western CommandSoon after the start, WESTERN COMMAND (Daniel M.Grant) was hampered for room.
City TamerSoon after the start, CITY TAMER (C.Rajendra) shifted out and tightened GOBELIN (K.P.G. Appu) on to DA VINCI (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey C.Rajendra has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
MaseehaNear 2200 meters, MASEEHA (App Nadeem Alam) was steadied and in the process dropped back due to which WESTERN COMMAND (Daniel M.Grant) and BOURBON KING (Colm O’Donoghue) were inconvenienced.
PeninsulaPENINSULA (R.Hughes) planted in the stall and had to be pulled out as the gates had to be shifted. In view of this behaviour, Tr.Bezan Chenoy has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race before next accepting to race.

8 (171) THE DALMORE CUP
A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 86		 1400M
LahinchAt the start LAHINCH (Dashrath Singh, dr.2) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and made contact with SCHNELL (L.Dettori, dr.1). Traveling some distance, AVEC PLAISIR (S.A.DeSousa) was steadied by its rider and in the process shifted out and made contact with NIMBLE FEET (Daniel M.Grant).
Desert DustNear 1200 meters, DESERT DUST (M.J.Kinane) was inconvenienced when tightened by ARKHOS (Sunny Chinoy). Jockey Sunny Chinoy has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount. DESERT DUST (M.J.Kinane) was held up for room passing the 400 meters.
WafadarTrainer Mansoor Shah has been fined Rs.1000/ for bringing his charge WAFADAR with the tongue strap for which no prior permission was sought for. As such, the tongue strap was removed and the gelding raced without the tongue strap. WAFADAR (App.Shailesh Shinde) raced keenly in the early part of the race and in the process of being settled, made contact with HAZEL HEAD (R.Hughes).

9 (172) ANTIQUITY - INDULGE IN BLUE TROPHY
A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 26		 1800M
TemptationTEMPTATION (R.Shelar) was hampered for run soon after the start and thereafter again near 1400 metres when GRACIAS SENORITA (A.J.Nilesh) shifted in. Jockey A.J. Nilesh has been fined 2000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount. Jockey R Shelar, the rider of TEMPTATION, has been fined Rs.3000/ for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
BineeBINEE (P.S.Chouhan) was reluctant to be stalled. Tr.M.K.Jadhav has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Arch RivalARCH RIVAL (Anil Baandal) was slowly out losing about 6 lengths at the start. Tr.Amjad Khan has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race before next accepting to race. After the race, ARCH RIVAL was observed to be sore by his left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
