1	(132)	THE CONTINUAL PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 1 TO 26	1000M

Surmount	Approaching 200 metres, SURMOUNT (Vikram Jodha) shifted in under use of the whip and forced THE FIRST LADY (App DS Rathore) to shift in, who in turn shifted in and caused interference to WAR MAJOR (HG Rathod). Jockey Vikram Jodha was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding on his mount. The Stewards interviewed the Jockey and having heard his submissions decided to suspend his Jockey’s License w.e.f. 1st February, 2010 to 7th February, 2010 (both days inclusive) for careless riding. (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race). Jockey Vikram Jodha submitted a letter stating that he does not wish to appeal against the above decision and would like his punishment to start early as per Club’s Notice. In view of this, Jockey Vikram Jodha’s license now stands suspended w.e.f. 27th January, 2010 to 6th February, 2010 (both days inclusive).
Honeyday	Jockey Hanumant Singh (HONEYDAY) was observed to be looking on his inside whereby he has failed to completely ride out his mount. On questioning, the Jockey stated he had looked on the inside whether he had managed to beat the inside horse. The Jockey agreed that he should not have looked towards inside. Considering the short verdict of Shorthead with which HONEYDAY had lost the race, the mater was reported to the Stewards. The Stewards having viewed the video recording of the race, decided that no action was called for in the matter. However, the Stipendiary Stewards were directed to warn Jockey Hanumant Singh for the future.
Accurize	The saddle on ACCURIZE (F.Irani) was observed to have slipped back during the race. As such, Trainer Mansoor Shah has been fined Rs. 2000/ for faulty saddling of his charge.
Shaktiman(O)	Soon after the start, SHAKTIMAN (App S Zervan) shifted in and carried HONEYDAY (Hanumant Singh) inwards, who went across GREY ISLAND (CS Jodha), inconveniencing the latter. App S Zervan has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Shabdeez	SHABDEEZ (V.Chandrakant) was reluctant to be stalled. BORZU AGAIN (Nadeem Alam) was slow in the stride, losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainers Asad Siddiqui and Sangramsinh N.Joshi have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Near 600 metres, SHAKTIMAN (App S Zervan) was inconvenienced when racing on the inside of ACCURIZE (F Irani).
Ashwa Prahar	After being stalled, ASHWA PRAHAR (D.K.Ashish) started lashing out the rear gates. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified him fit to race. After the race ASHWA PRAHAR, THE FIRST LADY, WAR MAJOR, SHAKTIMAN and BORZU AGAIN were found to be sound.
Borzu Again	Jockey Nadeem Alam (BORZU AGAIN) has been reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift out under use of the whip in the final 200 metres.

2	(133)	THE ATMOSPHERE PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 1 TO 26	1600M

Oriental Magic	Jockey James Doyle (ORIENTAL MAGIC) reported loss of his whip in the final 200 metres. The Jockey explained that his whip was hit by the whip of Jockey CS Jodha who was on his outside in close proximity and fell off.
Chopasni	CHOPASNI (CS Jodha) was inclined to lugin in the final 200 metres and had contributed in ORIENTAL MAGIC (James Doyle) shifting in, who in turn inconvenienced BREZHNEV (Nadeem Alam) on its inside. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next to race his charge COPASNI.
Premier Connection	PREMIER CONNECTION (C.Rajendra) was restless in the stall and lost about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race her. Jockey C Rajendra (PREMIER CONNECTION) has been cautioned for using his whip with the left hand as his mount was shifting outwards passing 400 metres.
Celtic Manor	After the race CELTIC MANOR and PREMIER CONNECTION were found to be sound.

3	(134)	THE N.M. IRANI CUP (DIV-II) A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)	1200M

Fascination

FASCINATION (N.S.Parmar) was slow in the strides, losing about 2 lengths at the start. App NS Parmar (FASCINATION) has been reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift out in the final stages of the race thereby forcing ANY TIME MONEY (P Sandeep) to shift out, who in turn hampered the running of UPROAR (R Shelar).

Calypso Queen

CALYPSO QUEEN (Neeraj Rawal) luggedin in the straight. Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. Trainer Asad Siddiqui was questioned with regard to the poor performance of his charge CALYPSO QUEEN. He stated that this was a poor set of horses as compared to last time and also the horse had fought for its head in the previous run and that is why he had asked the Jockey to be well up and it would have been no problem if the mare had hit the front. He added that last time the filly ran over 1400 meters and he had instructed the Jockey to be in 4th and 5th position. He further added that the filly did not show any speed and the Jockey had to ride her out from the start itself. Trainer Asad Siddiqui said that he himself was surprised at the poor performance. Jockey Neeraj Rawal reported that he was instructed to be well up but his mount CALYPSO QUEEN did not respond to his urgings in the race. The Sr. VO was requested to examine the mare and he reported that no abnormality was detected. The matter was reported to the Stewards. The Stewards interviewed Trainer Asad Siddiqui and after having heard the submissions made by him directed the Stipendiary Stewards to conduct further enquiry into the matter.

4	(135)	THE RANJIT V. BHAT MEMORIAL GOLD TROPHY A Handicap for Horses rated 80 & ABOVE	1000M

Ares	At the start, ARES (Imran Chisty, dr.4) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to SCHNELL (C Rajendra, dr.3).
Monopoly	Near 800 metres, MONOPOLY (YS Srinath) was tightened and lost its position while racing on the inside of SCHNELL (C Rajendra).
Blue Danube	BLUE DANUBE (C.D.Hayes) was restless in the stall. Since the filly had behaved in a similar manner in her previous outing, Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race before next accepting with her to race.
Schnell(O)	After the race, SCHNELL was observed to have lost its left fore plate, RIVER DANCER and BLUE DANUBE were found to be sound. Also, RIVER DANCER had a gum injury.

5	(136)	THE GREATER MUMBAI POLICE TROPHY A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66	1800M

Lone Monarch

LONE MONARCH (N.G.McCullagh) and SEA SPARROW (M.Fenton) planted completely and took no part in the race. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures and to show both the horses to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race before next accepting with them to race. A Stewards Enquiry was held into the start of this race. The Stewards having heard Jockeys N.G.McCullagh (LONE MONARCH) and M.Fenton (SEA SPARROW) as also the Starter and reviewing the video recording of the start of the race, held the view that the start of the race was in order and hence decided to maintain the order of placing as declared by the Judge.

Tequila(O)

After the race TEQUILA was observed to have a gum injury.

6	(137)	THE HELLO! MILLION TERMS - 3 years old only	1400M

Star Future	STAR FUTURE (Imran Chisty) hungout in the final 200 metres. Trainer Adil Dajee has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. After the race STAR FUTURE was found to be sound.
Mystic Dawn	At the start, MYSTIC DAWN (B Prakash, dr.3) was tightened when RHYTHM DIVINE (Malcolm Kharadi, dr.2) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and MOONLIGHT ROMANCE (M Fenton, dr.4) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside, MYSTIC DAWN (B.Prakash) was placed fifth and ROMAN LEGION (M.Narredu) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

7	(138)	THE RAMNIWAS RAMNARAIN RUIA GOLD CUP (GR.2) TERMS - 4 years old only	2000M

Onassis	Jockey K Fallon was declared to ride ONASSIS by Trainer P Shroff and the Jockey failed to report to fulfill his riding engagement. As such, Trainer P Shroff has been fined Rs.5000/.
Cabriolet	CABRIOLET (Paul Mulrennan) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to give the gelding more practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race again.
Change Of Luck	After the race, CHANGE OF LUCK was found to be sound.

8	(139)	THE WESTERN INDIA RACE HORSE OWNERS` ASSOCIATION MILLION TERMS - 4 YEARS OLD & UPWARD	1200M

D'artagnan(O)	After the race D’ARTAGNAN was found to be sound, having wolf tooth (significant) on either side of the mouth. PEPE JUNIOR was found to be sound.
Spirituall	In the final stages of the race, SPIRITUALL (Malcolm Kharadi) shifted out to progress in the race and in the process caused PEPE JUNIOR (N.G.McCullagh) to shift out, who in turn hampered the running of FORBES LIST (R.P.Cleary). Jockey Malcolm Kharadi has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Spitz	Near 800 metres, SPITZ (Samuel Fargeat) changed course inwards whereby BEYOND BELIEF (C Rajendra) was inconvenienced and dropped back as the gelding was steadied which resulted in RED ROMEO (M Fenton) being cramped for room and had to be checked since there was room to maneuver as SPIRITUALL (Malcolm Kharadi) was racing on its outside. Jockey Samuel Fargeat has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Beyond Belief	After the race, BEYOND BELIEF & RED ROMEO were found to be sore by the left fore leg. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

9	(140)	THE N.M. IRANI CUP (DIV-I) A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)	1200M

Silver Soul (O)	At the start, SILVER SOUL (Samuel Fargeat) and MEDTIAS PRIDE (App Kavraj Singh) jumped out awkwardly from the Gates and made contact with each other. Since the incident was accidental no action has been initiated against anyone.
Medtias Pride	After the race SIOOUX CHIEF and MEDTIAS PRIDE were found to be sound.
Absolute Reality	At the start, ABSOLUTE REALITY (App S Zervan, dr.4) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went on to FULL THROTTLE (Nadeem Alam, dr.5). Since the incident was accidental no action has been initiated against anyone. App S Zervan (ABSOLUTE REALITY) reported the loss of whip in the final 200 metres. This being the third instance of the Apprentice reporting loss of whip during the current Mumbai Meeting, he has been fined Rs.5000/ as per the notification regarding loss of whip.
Palermo	After the race, PALERMO was found to go short by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
