A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46		 1400M

WalterAt the request of Trainer S. K. Sunderji, WALTER was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. in the stable area at 12.10 p.m. on 19th October 2023 and was found to be sore by right fore and had swelling on right fore pastern, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
Treasure GoldTREASURE GOLD (S. Mosin, dr.9) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Spirit BayAt the start, SPIRIT BAY (Neeraj Rawal, dr.4) jumped outwards and made contact with REMY RED (Shrikant Kamble, dr.5) thereafter COMMANDMENT (P. Trevor, 6) shifted in onto REMY RED forcing it inwards onto SPIRIT BAY due to which REMY RED had to be steadied. Jockey P. Trevor has been cautioned. After the race, SPIRIT BAY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
Remy RedAt the start, SPIRIT BAY (Neeraj Rawal, dr.4) jumped outwards and made contact with REMY RED (Shrikant Kamble, dr.5) thereafter COMMANDMENT (P. Trevor, 6) shifted in onto REMY RED forcing it inwards onto SPIRIT BAY due to which REMY RED had to be steadied. Jockey P. Trevor has been cautioned. The Equine Hospital reported that REMY RED was found to have sore left eye with ulcer.

GeographiqueAfter the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (GEOGRAPHIQUE) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

Count Of SavoyAt the start, COUNT OF SAVOY (App. Haridas Gore, dr.4) stumbled and had to be steadied.
SnowfallAfter the race, SNOWFALL was trotted and found to be sound. Further, at the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, endoscopy was performed on SNOWFALL at the Equine Hospital and no abnormality was detected.
Flying VisitAfter the race, FLYING VISIT was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore, as such, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

6 (125) THE BRONX PLATE

Wild HammerAt the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, WILD HAMMER was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. in the stable area at 09.25 a.m. on 21st October 2023 and was found to be sore by left hind and had swelling on both hind below hock, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
ChagallAfter the race, CHAGALL & STOLE MY HEART were trotted and found to be sound. The Equine Hospital reported that CHAGALL was found to have sore both eyes with ulcer in left eye, AMBER KNIGHT was found to have sore left eye with ulcer and STOLE MY HEART was found to have sore right eye with ulcer.
JerusalemJERUSALEM (S. Saqlain, dr.1) planted in the stall and lost considerable ground at the start. In view of the same and a similar behavior of the gelding in his previous start, Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
Amber KnightThe Equine Hospital reported that CHAGALL was found to have sore both eyes with ulcer in left eye, AMBER KNIGHT was found to have sore left eye with ulcer and STOLE MY HEART was found to have sore right eye with ulcer.
Stole My HeartAfter the race, CHAGALL & STOLE MY HEART were trotted and found to be sound. The Equine Hospital reported that CHAGALL was found to have sore both eyes with ulcer in left eye, AMBER KNIGHT was found to have sore left eye with ulcer and STOLE MY HEART was found to have sore right eye with ulcer.
Willy WonkaaAfter the race, Jockey P. Vinod (WILLY WONKAA) reported loss of whip passing the 300 metres. This being his second instance during the current Pune Meeting 2023, he has been fined Rs.2,000/

7 (126) THE A. J. WADIA PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 4 TO 30 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1400M

FarahnoushFARAHNOUSH (S. Mosin, dr.2) planted in the stall taking no practical part in the race. In view of the same and a similar behavior of the mare in her previous starts, Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to show his charge in two mock races to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
AnoushkaANOUSHKA (S. Saqlain, dr.1) refused to stall despite substantial efforts. As Such, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starters order. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
ZacapaJockey Shrikant Kamble (ZACAPA) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his 1st offence during the current Pune Meeting 2023, he has been fined Rs.3,000/. After the race, ZACAPA was trotted and found to be sound.
Silver StepsAfter the race, SILVER STEPS was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
