Mighty Splendor	Soon after the start, MIGHTY SPLENDOR (Prabhu Naidu, dr.4) was tightened as GLORIOUS CROWN (App.R.Ajinkya, dr.5) shifted in. Shortly afterwards, GLORIOUS CROWN continued to shiftin and at the same time, FLYING KISS (App.D.S.Daman, dr.1) shifted out, due to which PUNE WARRIORS (Anil Baandal) also shifted out, which resulted in DIAMONDZIP (App.K.N.Bhati, dr.3) being tightened on to GLORIOUS CROWN. App.R.Ajinkya and App.D.S.Daman have been cautioned.
Answer My Prayer's	At the start, ANSWER MY PRAYER’S (App. Santosh G.) travelled wide.
Pune Warriors	After the race, PUNE WARRIORS was observed to have an abrasion at the left fore fetlock. DIAMONDZIP was found to be sound.

2	(73)	THE SAINT EMILION PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 86	1600M
			3.00 P.M.

Sailor

At the start, SAILOR (Amyn Merchant) took a fly jump.

Mint Approach

Trainer Dallas Todywalla was questioned regarding the poor performance of MINT APPROACH. The instructions were to be in second position if possible, or to ride from the front. The Trainer stated that soon after the start, SET TO FLY and JANIS JAY went to the front and then the pace slowed down, whereby his filly became keen and then raced from the front. In his opinion, MINT APPROACH remained keen as CELTIC KING raced on her outside, whereby the filly did not get a chance to be settled. To another question, he stated that Blinkers were put this time on a recommendation from Jockey A.Sandesh. As regards the future plan for the filly, the Trainer stated that he may run her over a shorter trip as the distance of a mile is probably turning out to be long for her. The explanation was noted for future reference. After the race, MINT APPROACH was found to be sound.

3	(74)	THE ORIENTAL EXPRESS PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 1 TO 26	2000M
			3.30 P.M.

Makemeafortune	Passing 600 metres, MAKEMEAFORTUNE (S.Mosin) shiftedin with the rider making no effort to control the inward movement of his mount, who after a few strides took the running of ARZAAN (T.S.Jodha) who was severely interfered with. Jockey S.Mosin has been fined Rs.5,000/. The Sr.V.O. reported that after the race MAKEMEAFORTUNE showed symptoms of distress and collapsed in the paddock. First Aid treatment was given immediately but the filly did not respond to the treatment and died.
Chasing Dreams	After the race, CHASING DREAMS, MISSFIELD, ZAFIRAH and COUORTESY CALL were found to be sound.
Courtesy Call	Jockey P.Kamlesh (COURTESY CALL) reported that soon after the start the filly drifted outwards and lost considerable ground.

4	(75)	THE STAR MILLIONAIRE PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)	1000M
			4.00 P.M.

Dreamland	After the race, DREAMLAND was observed to have a cut injury at the right hock. WARRIOR PRINCE was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the left hind pastern. SHEER ROMANCE (examined on 24/08/2014) was found to be sound.
Edith Piaf	At the start, EDITH PIAF (Neeraj Rawal, dr.6) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to WIND CRAFT (Hanumant Singh, dr.5), Shortly afterwards, EDITH PIAF was tightened for room as SONG OF AFRICA (Kavraj Singh) shifted ground inwards. Jockey Kavraj Singh has been cautioned.
Wind Craft	Jockey Hanumant Singh (WIND CRAFT) has been reprimanded for not riding out vigorously in the straight and has been cautioned for the future.
Sheer Romance	At the start, SHEER ROMANCE (C.S.Jodha, dr.2) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to WARRIOR PRINCE (App.Yash Narredu, dr.1).
Warrior Prince (O)	The Sr.V.O. reported that after completion of the race, WARRIOR PRINCE stopped just after the winning post. The gelding was observed to be bleeding profusely from both the nostrils and was in distress. Emergency First Aid was given on the Track and the gelding was taken to the Sampling Yard in the Horse Ambulance. WARRIOR PRINCE is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

5	(76)	THE ZURBARAN TROPHY TERMS - 3 year old maidens only	1000M
			4.30 P.M.

Chlobud	CHLOBUD (App.S.J.Sunil) jumped out awkwardly and thereafter stopped abruptly and took no part in the race. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.
Angel Of Love	SECRET OATH (S.Sunil) luggedin in the straight. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Flanker	At the start, FLANKER (Nirmal Jodha, dr.11) drifted outwards, and in the process carried NAUGHTY FORTY (Prabhu Naidu, dr.12) outwards.
Gyahana	GYAHANA (Zameer Sayyed) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer D.J.Surti has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

6	(77)	THE SEVERRIANO PLATE TERMS - 3 year old maidens only	1600M
			5.00 P.M.

Zabisco	At the start, ZABISCO (D.K.Ashish, dr.6) jumped out awkwardly and went across SCENT OF A WOMAN (S.Zervan, dr.5).
Scent Of A Woman	Jockey S.Zervan (SCENT OF A WOMAN) reported that his mount did not get a clear run between 400 and 200 metres due to GOLDEN MILLENIUM (Vikram Jodha) and MISS PEARL (Nirmal Jodha) running erratic.
Golden Millenium	At the start, GOLDEN MILLENIUM (Vikram Jodha, dr.7) jumped awkwardly outwards due to which AD ASTRA (Neeraj Rawal, dr.8) travelled wide. GOLDEN MILLENIUM (Vikram Jodha) ran erratic throughout the race. In that, soon after the start, the gelding shifted in twice and hampered the running of SCENT OF A WOMAN (S.Zervan) who lost position. Thereafter, GOLDEN MILLENIUM shifted in and made contact with MISS PEARL (Nirmal Jodha) on a few occasions between 600 and 200 metres. Trainer Karthik G. Has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding, nevertheless Jockey Vikram Jodha has been cautioned to make more efforts to control his mounts in the future. After the race, GOLDEN MILLENIUM, MISS PEARL and ZABISCO (examined on 24/08/2014) were found to be sound. MISS PEARL had a wolf tooth on the right side. Trainer Zadmal Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Discourse	DISCOURSE (Shrikant Kamble) took a fly jump.

7	(78)	THE GREY AREA PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46	1600M
			5.30 P.M.

Maalik	At the start, MAALIK (T.S.Jodha, dr.2) shifted in and hampered the running of MAGIC VISION (S.Sunil, dr.1).
Zurich	ZURICH (D.K.Ashish) jumped out awkwardly. After the race, ZURICH was found to be sound.
Sky Lantern	SKY LANTERN (R.Shelar) lost 2 lengths at the start.
Ice Rink	Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.3,000/ for applying incorrect Saddle Cloth numbers on his charges ICE RINK and STAR PRINCE. The horse left the Parade Ring with the correct Saddle cloth numbers. Near 300 metres, ICE RINK (S.G.Prasad) clipped the heels of WISH UPON A STAR (App.K.N.Bhati) who had shifted ground inwards due to the shifting in of the horses on his outside.
