1 (79) THE CLASSIC TALK PLATE

Mohegun SunThe Jockey confirmed the instructions and stated that near 1100 metres, MOHEGUN SUN was steadied and slowed down due to which he had to check his mount and lost position. He added that in the straight the filly lugged in as she had done in the previous start, and he had to keep her balanced and ride out as well. To another question, he stated that his other hand does not move that well when he is using the whip. He reiterated that he had done his best. The matter was reported to the Stewards. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.
LhotseLHOTSE (Nirmal Jodha) luggedin in the straight. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi and Jockey Nirmal Jodha were questioned regarding the running and riding of LHOTSE. The instructions to the Jockey were to take a good jump and be in 3rd or 4th position and do his best in the straight. The Trainer observed that near 1100 metres the filly lost position and then she travelled on the outside. He further stated that it was not a good ride by the Jockey and that he was dissatisfied with the riding effort. He added that the Jockey had worked the horse coming into this race. When asked, the Trainer stated that the horse had returned sound after the race. After the race, LHOTSE was found to be sound.
Star BuilderSTAR BUILDER (S.G.Prasad) did not get a clear run passing 200 metres, while racing between MAHIMA (R.Shelar) and LHOTSE (Nirmal Jodha).
MahimaMAHIMA (R.Shelar) jumped out slow, losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Minstrel SonJockey B.Nikhil (MINSTREL SON) reported that his mount leanedin during the race. Since the gelding was reported to have broken a blood vessel, no further action has been initiated in the matter.
PracsTHEORY (App.Yash Narredu) fly jumped and did not race an effective gallop soon thereafter. Near 400 metres, THEORY (App.Yash Narredu) weakened and shifted out and made contact with MAHIMA (R.Shelar) and then shiftedin and made contact with STAR BUILDER (S.G.Prasad). After the race, THEORY and MINSTREL SON were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the ban period of four weeks. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

2 (80) THE RONIN PLATE

UltrasonicULTRASONIC (Dashrath Singh) luggedin in the straight. Trainer Imtiaz A..Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
JimboAfter the race, JUMBO was observed to have a cut injury at the leftfore bulb of heel and had lost its left fore plate. ULTRASONIC, EMPEROR OF FRANCE and WOVEN DREAMS were found to be sound.

SnowingSNOWING (Dashrath Singh) jumped out slow, losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting tor race.

5 (83) THE PRITHVI EDIFICE MILLION

CongressionalAt the request of Trainer Bezan Chenoy, CONGRESSIONAL was examined at 1030 hours on 23rd August, 2014 and was found to have an injury on the right fore knee, cannon and hock and was sore by the right fore leg as the gelding was cast in the stables. As such, CONGRESSIONAL was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Vision Of RomancePassing 600 metres, VISION OF ROMANCE (Dashrath Singh) shifted out to make its move and made contact with SPIDER MAN (Y.S.Srinath). Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs.5,000/ and severely cautioned for the future.
ZadoraZADORA (D.K.Ashish) was reluctant to reach the starting point. Trainer M.Narredu) has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. The saddle on ZADORA (D.K.Ashish) was observed to have slipped forward during the race. Trainer M.Narredu has been fined Rs.2,000/.
War MachineWAR MACHINE (J.H.Christopher) was placed fifth and ASHRAFIE (T.S.Jodha) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
AshrafieASHRAFIE (T.S.Jodha) hungout in the straight thereby placing its rider at a disadvantage. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.After the race, ASHRAFIE was found to be sound.

6 (84) THE NANA RAGHUNATH TROPHY (DIV-I)

Mountain SongOn arrival at the start, it was observed that MOUNTAIN SONG (S.P.Ranjane) had lost its left fore plate. As per the norms, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order.
My FreedomAt the start, MY FREEDOM (D.K.Ashish) reared up and was slow to begin.
PeppercornSoon after the start, PEPPERCORN (S.Sunil) shiftedin, due to which BEAU ROYALE (J.E.Pereira) shied away and shiftedin. Shortly thereafter, PEPPERCORN took the running of BEAU ROYALE. Jockey S.Sunil has been fined Rs.1,000/. After the race, PEPPERCORN was found to be sound.
Beau RoyaleThe Sr.V.O. reported that BEAU ROYALE was examined at the stables on 25/08/2014 and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
LocarnoNear 600 metres, LOCARNO (App.K.N.Bhati) was steadied while racing on the inside of MISS MIRACLE (App.Bhawani Singh) who had shifted in at that stage. App.Bhawani Singh has been cautioned. App.K.N.Bhati (LOCARNO) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shiftin in the middle stages of the race.

7 (85) THE POTENTIAL CHAMPION TROPHY

KhaleefaJockey A.Sandesh (KHALEEFA) has been reminded of his obligation to ride out his mount till past the post.
Rising WaveRISING WAVE (J.E.Pereira) luggedin throughout the race whereby the Jockey could not ride out the filly. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
AttractiveATTRACTIVE (P.Kamlesh) luggedin in the straight. Trainer Adil Dajee has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Chivalrous KnightAfter the race, CHIVALROUS KNIGHT was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind pastern. ARSENAL was found to sound, having lost its right fore shoe. ATTRACTIVE & RISING WAVE were found to be sound.

8 (86) THE NANA RAGHUNATH TROPHY (DIV-II)

Glorious RegimeAfter the winning post, GLORIOUS REGIME (Altaf Sayyed) clipped the hind heels of CEASARINA (I.Pasha) who had shifted in and stumbled and fell dislodging the rider. FABRIZIO (R.Shelar) collided with the fallen horse, GLORIOUS REGIME, stumbled and fell, dislodging its Rider. Both the horses, GLORIOUS REGIME and FABRIZIO were injured due to the fall and were treated by the Equine Hospital Vets. Trainers Adil Dajee and Hosidar Daji are required to obtain a fitness certificate for their respective charge from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting with them to race.
Rider On The StormAfter the race, FABRIZIO, MATEUS ROSE, MY INSPIRATION were found to be sound. GLORIOUS REGIME was sound, having gum injury.
My InspirationNear 500 metres MY INSPIRATION ((App.Yash Narredu) shifted in and inconvenienced EXTREME LOVE (S.G.Prasad). App.Yash Narredu has been cautioned.
Sweeping MoveAt the start, SWEEPING MOVE (Kishore Kadam) fly jumped. AMAZON CAT (P.Kamlesh, dr.10) was hampered for room as REACH THE STARS (J.Pradeep, dr.9) shifted out as CHIMERA (B.Nikhil, dr.8) jumped awkwardly outwards.
ChimeraAfter passing the Post, CHIMERA (B.Nikhil) became unbalanced, stumbled and fell, dislodging its Rider. The filly sustained fracture of the rightfore shoulder and was euthanized on humane grounds.
