1 (104) THE SO PERFECT PLATE - DIV-II
A Handicap for Horses rated 00 TO 26		 1200M
Dangerous BelleAfter the race, DANGEROUS BELLE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Dancing MoneyThe saddle on DANCING MONEY (Zameer Sayyed) slipped back during the race. As such, Trainer D. J. Surti has been fined a sum of Rs.2000/ for faulty saddling on his charge.
Roses All The WayROSES ALL THE WAY (App.Ishwar Pardeshi) took a fly jump awkwardly almost knocking the horse on its outside. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race, before next accepting to race. At the start, ROSES ALL THE WAY (App. Ishwar Pardeshi) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and made contact with ABOVE ALL (D. K. Ashish). As ABOVE ALL (DK Ashish) regained its balance, the mare shifted in and made contact with PERSIAN POWER (J Pradeep) and then with BLACK PARTRIDGE (C. S. Jodha) who itself had shifted out. In this incidence, PERSIAN POWER (J.Pradeep) shifted in due to the impact and forced DANGEROUS BELLE (Stephane Breux) to change course inwards. As such, both the Jockeys, C. S. Jodha & D. K. Ashish, have been asked to be more careful in future.

FiammaAfter the race, FIAMMA was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind fetlock and ROMP HOME had a wolf tooth (significant) on the left side. Tr.Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race ROMP HOME..
KuhaylanMYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS (P. Kamlesh) luggedin in the straight. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Prince Of TroyNear 200 metres, Jockey HG Rathod (PRINCE OF TROY) lost his reins which he regained after a few strides.
Heavy MoneyThe saddle on HEAVY MONEY (App.Shammi Khan) slipped back during the race. As such, Trainer Jayantilal K. Gor has been fined Rs.2000/ for faulty saddling on his charge.
Pacific ZoneSoon after the start, PACIFIC ZONE (Nirmal Jodha) shifted out and went on to BALLAD OF GLORY (Vikram Jodha) who in turn went on to HEAVY MONEY (App Shammi Khan).
Dancing Queen (O)Trainer D. J. Surti & Jockey Zameer Sayyed were questioned regarding the running and riding of DANCING QUEEN. The jockey was observed to have made insufficient effort to be in touch with the field and ride out. The Trainer stated that the filly has not shown any form before this race and considering that he was satisfied with the Jockey’s riding. The trainer was informed that it was the jockey’s riding effort which was in question and not the performance of the horse. Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by them, both the Trainer & Jockey have been cautioned.

3 (106) THE AMBER ROYAL PLATE - DIV-II
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46		 1000M
TearawayThe Sr. VO reported that at the request of Trainer Faisal A.Abbas, TEARAWAY was examined on 28/08/2009 at 1800 hours and was found to have sustained multiple bleeding abrasions over the left fore limb and right hind limb. As such, TEARAWAY was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary ground.
War MajorOn arrival at the starting gate, WAR MAJOR was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Double DeliteThe Sr. VO reported that at the request of Trainer S.K.Sunderji, DOUBLE DELITE was examined on 29/08/2009 at 2000 hours and was found to go short by the left fore leg due to hot painful swelling of elbow. As such, DOUBLE DELITE was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary ground. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
AlohamoraALOHAMORA (Sunny Chinoy) jumped out with buckled hind action due to which it lost considerable ground.

4 (107) THE LEGAL STEPS PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 86 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1400M
WahyWAHY (S.Sunil) and PRINCE LOCHINVA (Stephane Breux) were reluctant to be stalled. Trainers Faisal A.Abbas and Narendra Lagad have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and to show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race. Soon after the start, WAHY (S Sunil) was steadied while racing on the inside of KINGDOM OF LOVE (JE Pereira). WAHY (S. Sunil) was helpup for a clear run between 400 metres and 350 metres while racing along the rails and on the inside of BEAU MONDE( Sunny Chinoy). Jockey S. Sunil was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount WAHY. This being his 3rd offence with regard to the use of whip during the current Pune Meeting 2009, the matter has been reported to the Stewards. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next Meeting of the Stewards. After the race, WAHY was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind fetlock .
Classic StarCLASSIC STAR (P. Kamlesh) was observed to have ridden his mount being well up in this race as compared to its winning run where the horse had come from rear position. The jockey stated that he was asked not to gag the horse but allow him to settle at its own pace and since he found himself well up, he rode along. The explanation was noted.
Beau MondeAt the start, BEAU MONDE (Sunny Chinoy) was slow to jump out due to the blind fold coming off late.
Athena(0)App. S. Zervan (ATHENA) reported the loss of whip near 300 metres. Since this was the first time this season the apprentice had reported loss of whip no action has been initiated against him beyond reminding him of the notice with regard to the loss of whip.
Silent PresenceSILENT PRESENCE (Aadesh Kumar) was inclined to lug out in the straight. Trainer Ms. N. B. Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

5 (108) THE AMBER ROYAL PLATE - DIV-I
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46		 1000M
Creme De La CremeApp. Shrikant Kamble (CRÈME DE LA CRÈME) was observed to have lost of his left stirrup soon after the start which he could not regain throughout the race. Due to this incident at the start, CRÈME DE LA CRÈME shifted in near 900 metres and tightened CENTREOFATTENTION (Nirmal Jodha) who in the process of being steadied, dropped back and shifted out which resulted in AMBERLEY (App NS Parmar) being tightened on to HIDDEN DANGER (M Narredu) and ricocheted on to CENTREOFATTENTION (Nirmal Jodha). Due to this incident both, AMBERLEY and CENTREOFATTENTION, lost their respective position in the race.
TapitsflyAt the start, CENTREOFATTENTION (Nirmal Jodha) shifted in despite Jockey’s effort and went on to HIDDEN DANGER (M Narredu) who in turn shifted in and hampered AMBERLEY (App NS Parmar). Trainer S Shaikh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Crack Of Dawn(O)After the race, CRACK OF DAWN was found to be sore by right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

6 (109) THE JOHNNIE WALKER GREEN LABEL SALVER
A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66		 1200M
FeonaJockey C. S. Jodha was observed to have used his whip in excess of the prescribed limit of his mount FEONA. Since this was the third offence with regard to the use of the whip, the matter has been reported to the Stewards. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next Meeting of the Stewards. After the race, BELLA was observed to have a cut injury on the right hind fetlock, FEONA had an abrasion on the right hind coronet, RIVER STAR had an abrasion on the right hind pastern and BLAZING SPEED had an abrasion on the left hind fetlock. SWEPT AWAY had wolf tooth (significant) on both sides of the mouth. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race SWEPT AWAY.
River StarPassing 200 metres, RIVER STAR (K.P.G. Appu) shifted out and took the running of ALGORITHMS (P.Kamlesh) who had to be severely checked by its rider. Jockey K.P.G. Appu has been reported to the stewards for careless riding. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next Meting of the Stewards.
BellaSoon after the start, BELLA (App.D.S. Rathore, dr.12) shifted in continuously and took the running of RIVER STAR (KPG Appu) who checked his mount due to which CALLING THE SHOTS (Nirmal Jodha) was steadied. App. D. S. Rathore was reported to the Stewards for careless riding. Consideration of the matter has been deferred to the next Meeting of the Stewards.
Absolute RealityAt the start, ABSOLUTE REALITY (App Shrikant Kamble) shifted in due to which CALLING THE SHOTS (Nirmal Jodha) shifted in and inconvenienced FEONA (CS Jodha).
Insite SoulJockey S. S. Baria (INSITE SOUL) reported the loss of whip at the start itself. Since this was the first time this season the jockey had reported loss of whip no action has been initiated against him beyond reminding him of the notice with regard to the loss of whip.

7 (110) THE JOHNNIE WALKER GOLD LABEL GENERAL RAJENDRASINHJI MILLION
TERMS - 3 years old only		 1800M
First EmpireFIRST EMPIRE (B. Prakash) hungin in the straight. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. After the race, FIRST EMPIRE was observed to have an abrasion on the right hind pastern and RIVER CHIEFTAIN had lost its left fore plate.
Real SuccessAfter the race, RIVER CHIEFTAIN was found to be sore by left fore leg. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Rokeby VenusROKEBY VENUS (Malcolm Kharadi) was placed fifth and CLAIM TO FAME (S.Sunil) was placed sixth by the Judge in this race.
Irish Queen [ire]After the race, IRISH QUEEN was found to have stiffness of hind quarters.

8 (111) THE CHARON TROPHY
TERMS - 3 year old maidens only		 1000M
AestheticsNear 900 metres, AESTHETICS (P. Kamlesh) became unbalanced for a few strides. After the race, AESTHETICS was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind canon and TRIGANCE had an abrasion on the left hind coronet.
TriganceThe saddle of TRIGANCE (A.M. Tograllu) slipped back during the race. Trainer Vinayak has been fined Rs.2000/ for faulty saddling on his charge.
Brilliant MoonSoon after the start, BRILLIANT MOON (SS Baria) was tightened for room.
Towering HighSoon after the start, TOWERING HIGH (C.S.Jodha, dr.5) shifted in and jostled with ARIELA (Shailesh Shinde, dr. 3), who in turn shifted in and caused interference to SECRET MAGIC (A. J. Nilesh, dr.1). Jockey C.S.Jodha has been fined Rs.2000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

9 (112) THE NORTHERN COMMAND PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 00 TO 26		 1600M
Gazebo(O)GAZEBO (K.P.G.Appu) planted and took no part in the race. Tr.Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race, before next accepting to race.
Desert Fire (O)On arrival at the starting gate, DESERT FIRE was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
ItspiritofracingNear 600 metres, ITSPIRITOFRACING (Nadeem Alam) brushed the rails. Jockey Nadeem Alam (ITSPIRITOFRACING) was severely cautioned for unbalancing his mount in the final stages of the race
Knight Of WindsorAfter the race, KNIGHT OF WINDSOR and RODRIGO were observed to have an abrasion on the left hind fetlock and GERRAD had an abrasion on the right hind fetlock.
RattleRATTLE (C.S.Jodha) jumped out slow losing about 4 lengths at the start. Tr.Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the start at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
