Annabeth

Approaching 200 metres, ANNABETH (S.G.Prasad) shiftedin and tightened CUT DIAMOND (P.Trevor). Jockey S.G.Prasad has been fined Rs.1,000/.

Cut Diamond

Trainer Altaf Hussain and Jockey P.Trevor were questioned following poor performance of CUT DIAMOND. The Jockey stated that his mount did not travel well from 400 metres onward and did not respond to his urgings. He further stated that, at his instance the Blinkers and Tongue Strap were used this time since the filly ran scared in her previous run. To another question, the Jockey stated that his instructions were since the Blinkers were used this time and she could be keen, so to ride her from the 2nd position. Trainer Altaf Hussain, when questioned regarding the poor performance of CUT DIAMOND, he stated that both the runs of the filly at Pune have been disappointing. The Trainer cited possible two reasons for the poor performance of the filly, firstly, the Pune Monsoon Track may not have suited her and secondly, the distances of 1000 metres & 1200 metres in her two starts during the current Pune Meeting may be short for her. He added that he would try her over a longer distance after a gap. The explanation was noted. After the race, CUT DIAMOND was found to be sound.

2	(98)	THE GRUEZI PLATE (DIV-I) A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)	1000M

Zoe	App. Yash Narredu (ZOE) reported that his mount luggedin during the race. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.
Passion Prince	Jockey Dashrath Singh (PASSION PRINCE) reported that his mount luggedin in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. After the race, PASSION PRINCE was found to be sound.
Winds Of Change	Approaching 800 metres, WINDS OF CHANGE (S.P.Ranjane) shifted ground inwards, due to which HIGHWAY EXPRESS (C.S.Jodha) was forced to shift out and hampered the running of SUNSHINE HEART (App.Santosh G) who lost position and in turn hampered HERZELIYAH (Sandeep Jadhav) who was following SUNSHINE HEART. Jockey S.P.Ranjane has been cautioned. In the final stages of the race, WINDS OF CHANGE (S.P.Ranjane) was held up for a run when steadied in anticipation, while racing on the inside of GRAND MARCH (Nirmal Jodha) who shifted ground as MR MORRISON (R.K.Mahesh) luggedin. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Sunshine Heart	Soon after the start, SUNSHINE HEART (App.Santosh G) shifted in and went on to GATES OF HEAVEN (D.A.Naik).
Highway Express	Jockey C.S.Jodha (HIGHWAY EXPRESS) reported that his mount did not respond to his urgings. The Sr.VO was requested to examine the mare and he reported that no abnormality was detected.
Herzeliyah	The Sr.V.O. reported that HERZELIYAH was examined at the stables on 01/09/2014 and found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

3	(99)	THE AEROBICA PLATE (DIV-I) TERMS - 3 year old maidens only	1200M
			1.30 P.M.

Soul Centric	At the start, SOUL CENTRIC (P.Trevor, dr.5) jumped awkwardly inwards on to THERE SHE GOES (I.Pasha, dr.4) who had also jumped awkwardly and went on to MARQUET (Malcolm Kharadi, dr.3).
Ocean Dream	Soon after the start, OCEAN DREAM (Dashrath Singh) who was drawn on the extreme outside, commenced to shiftin and carried GOLDEN LILLY (Neeraj Rawal) inwards, who tightened CENTAURUS (S.S.Baria), who in turn went on to SOUL CENTRIC (P.Trevor), and in the process, SOUL CENTRIC lost position. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs.5,000/. After the race, OCEAN DREAM was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind pastern.
Golden Lilly	The Sr.V.O. reported that after the race GOLDEN LILLY showed symptoms of distress in the paddock. First Aid treatment was given and the filly was sent to the Equine Hospital in the Horse Ambulance for further treatment. Also, the filly was observed to have cut injuries at the left hind gaskin and a bruise on the forehead.
There She Goes	Near 1000 metres, THERE SHE GOES (I.Pasha) was steadied and ridden in check as the filly raced keen and continued to race unsettled till passing 800 metres.

Flashing Chieftain

Trainer Karthik G. and Jockey A.Sandesh were questioned regarding the running riding FLASHING CHIEFTAIN as the Jockey was observed to have made his move late in the straight and lost the race by a narrow margin. The instructions were to sit behind since this was a 3horse race. The Trainer added that the Jockey had ridden according to his instructions and he was satisfied with the Jockey’s riding. The Jockey confirmed the Instructions and stated that he followed QUASAR throughout the race since that was the danger horse and he kept following QUASAR as it improved in the straight and then he made his challenge. Not being satisfied with the explanation of the Jockey, the matter was reported to the Stewards as the Jockey was observed to have waited for too long in the straight to make his move. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.

5	(101)	THE DR. S R CAPTAIN TROPHY A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 86	1400M

Caruso	Jockey S.Zervan (CARUSO) reported that his mount hungin in the straight. Trainer Janardhan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Remember Me	At the start, REMEMBER ME (C.S.Jodha) jumped out awkwardly and then was inconvenienced.
Ice Zone	After the race, Jockey A.Sandesh (ICE ZONE) reported that the whip of Jockey S.Zervan (CARUSO) hit his arm near 400 metres. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated in the matter. After the race, CARUSO was found to be sound, but having cut injury at both the hind fetlocks and left hind bulb of heel. ICE ZONE was found to be sound.

6	(102)	THE B K LAGAD MEMORIAL GOLD TROPHY A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66	1200M
			3.00 P.M.

Josephine	At the start, JOSEPHINE (Vinod Shinde, dr.7) drifted outwards due to which DIVINE SOLITAIRE (T.S.Jodha, dr.8) also shifted out and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SOUND OF RIVER (I.Pasha, dr.9) and was steadied.
Blue Bay	Approaching 200 metres, BLUE BAY (C.S.Jodha) shifted out and tightened JOSEPHINE (Vinod Shinde) on to RECKLESS (App.R.Ajinkya). Jockey C.S.Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/.
Mine Forever	MINE FOREVER (S.Zervan) was reluctant to be stalled. NEPTUNE’S OCEAN (App.K.N.Bhati) jumped out throwing its head thereby losing about 6 lengths at the start. Trainers P.Shroff and Mansoor Shah has been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Trainer P.Shroff when questioned with regard to the poor performance of MINE FOREVER. He stated that the filly was very excited in the Saddling Enclosure as well as on her way to the Starting Gates. He had instructed the Jockey to settle her as horses going to the front have not been performing on this day. After the start, the filly found herself in front and there was nothing much that the Jockey could do. Further, the track may not have suited the filly and therefore she may have performed poorly. The explanation was noted.
Reckless	Passing 400 metres, RECKLESS (App.R.Ajinkya) shiftedin and made contact with ZEDA (A.Sandesh), who shifted in and in turn made contact with BLUE BAY (C.S.Jodha), who became unbalanced and shifted out and jostled with RECKLESS who was unbalanced and lost position and in turn hampered ICE SKATES (Akash Agarwal) who was following. After the race, RECKLESS, MOUNTAIN SONG and MINE FOREVER were found to be sound. JOSEPHINE had lost its left hind plate.

7	(103)	THE THREPTIN FILLIES` & MARES` STAKES (GR.3) TERMS - 3 YEARS OLD & UPWARD	1800M

Scarlet O'hara

Approaching 400 metres, SCARLET O’HARA (P.Trevor) manoeuvred around the weakening BELVEDERE (Akshay) and caused a chain reaction, in which SCARLET O’HARA (P. Trevor), VICTORIA FALLS (C.S.Jodha) and TRANCE (Dashrath Singh) shiftedout, due to which STARRY EYES (A.Sandesh) also shifted out and was awkwardly placed behind the heels of CIRCLE OF BLISS (S.Zervan) and steadied.

Durer	Jockey Akshay (DURER) has been fined Rs.1,000/ for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
Affirmation	After the race, AFFIRMATION was observed to have an abrasion at both hind bulb of heel. SINDBAAD and VENTURA were found to be sound.
Flash Drive	Passing 200 metres, FLASH DRIVE (Kavraj Singh) was held up for a run for a few strides while racing on the inside of EARTH TAMER (S.G.Prasad).
Whatever It Takes	NIRBHAYA (App.K.N.Bhati) and ESSENCE OF LOVE (Akash Agarwal) lost about 3 lengths each, at the start.
Mambo Magic	Near 1200 metres, MAMBO MAGIC (S.Mosin) was tightened while racing on the inside of DURER (Akshay). Shortly afterwards, CONCORDE (P.Trevor) was tightened and lost position.
Dynamic Thea	Approaching 200 metres, BROWN DYNAMITE (Vikram Jodha) was steadied momentarily while racing between DURER (Akshay) and DYNA (App.Yash Narredu).
Saturday Affair	Approaching 600 metres, SATURDAY AFFAIR (Sandeep Jadhav) clipped the heels of the front runners and stumbled.

			4.30 P.M.

Feel Like Dancing	FEEL LIKE DANCING (S.Sunil) whipped around after the start and took no part in the race. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Troppa Bella	Jockey A.Sandesh (TROPPA BELLA) reported that his mount luggedin in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Apache	APACHE (S.Zervan) hungout in the straight and finished the race along the outer rails. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding to the satisfaction of Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.
Sweet As Honey	After the race, SWEET AS HONEY was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore cannon. ACKER BILK and APACHE were found to be sound.
Blend Of Elegance	Jockey D.K.Ashish (BLEND OF ELEGANCE) reported the loss of whip near 150 metres. BLEND OF ELEGANCE (D.K.Ashish) luggedout in the straight. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Egyptiana	Near 300 metres, EGYPTIANA (P. Kamlesh) was steadied in anticipation of TROPPA BELLA (A.Sandesh) shiftingin at that stage.
Acker Bilk	Near 1000 metres, ACKER BILK (Ishwar Pardeshi) was eased off while racing between ETERNAL ROYALTY (P.Trevor) and BLEND OF ELEGANCE (D.K.Ashish).

10	(106)	THE GRUEZI PLATE (DIV-II) A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)	1000M
			5.00 P.M.

New Star	At the start, NEW STAR (App.Akshay Gaikwad) jumped out awkwardly and tried to drift outwards. OCEAN STAR (Akash Agarwal) jumped out awkwardly. After the race, NEW STAR was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Viva Capri	Trainer Rehanulah Khan and Jockey V.Chandrakant were questioned regarding the running and riding of VIVA CAPRI. The Instructions were to be in 3rd/4th/5th position and to ride out in the straight whilst tapping with the whip. The Jockey was observed to have lost his position in the middle stages of the race with no effort to improve his position and did not tap the horse whilst riding out in the straight as the mare observed to be running on. The Trainer admitted that the Jockey should have tried to improve his position but also opined that the mare could not have finished any better. The Trainer added that the mare is not a sound horse and has her issues and was operated on both her knees during the just concluded Mumbai Meeting. Whilst noting the explanation, Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to ensure that his horses run to the best of their ability and Jockey V.Chandrakant has been severely cautioned for failing to ride out his mount.
Ocean Star	After the race, OCEAN STAR was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the right hind cannon. MUMBAI KING, BETHLEHEM, WAVES OF MAGIC and VIVA CAPRI were found to be sound.
