Gallantry bounces back to winning ways Malesh Narredu trained Gallantry bounced back to winning ways after 333 days in the 1600 metres Gold Star Plate, a race for horses rated 40 to 66, the feature event of Thursday’s Mumbai races. Jockey Pradeep Chouhan had to extract a second wind from Gallantry to stave off the challenge of Sunrise Ruby who flattered to deceive.

Shivansh has it easy in main event
Trainer Vijay Singh’s fancied galloper, Shivansh, scored an easy victory in the hands of the champion jockey Suraj Narredu, to lift the 1,600m Aperitivo Cup, Wednesday’s feature event. Early in the afternoon, Vijay’s Namiki (Trevor Patel) had also provided the champion trainer with a decisive victory while Suraj had partnered trainer Raunak Banerji’s strongly fancied runner, Trouboutin, to business-like victory.

Vulcan has it easy in Wadia Gold Cup
Adhiraj Jodha trained Vulcan who was the only horse with a recent win to his credit had no problem in winning the Gr 2 2400 metres C N Wadia Gold Cup, a terms race for four-year-olds and over, the feature event of Sunday’s Mumbai races. The expected challenge did not come from the favourite Caprisca as the seven-year-old sailed away for an easy win.
