Racing Pulse Poll
Do you agree that Turf Authorities of India must step up their marketing game to attract a younger crowd. Right now, the sport is mostly backed by an ageing audience, which isn’t sustainable long-term?

The Horses Have Found a Home. What About the Jockeys?
The Horses Have Found a Home. What About the Jockeys? Most of the race-fit horses displaced from Delhi have found accommodation at other racing centres and will continue their careers. The jockeys who rode them have been left facing a very different reality. Some have lost their homes, others their licences and many their livelihood. A few have been forced to take up delivery jobs to survive. In these extraordinary circumstances, the racing fraternity must not forget the humans behind the horses.
Has BTC Given Away Too Much?
The Bangalore Turf Club faces a difficult choice as members prepare to vote on the proposed settlement with the Karnataka Government. Relocation to Kunigal may now be the practical way forward, but the price of securing that exit could be crucial. Has BTC conceded more than it should have, surrendered too much bargaining power and accepted obligations without adequate safeguards? Members must weigh the certainty of settlement against the risks of giving up leverage.
Racing No Longer Pays for Racing!
The latest RWITC annual report paints a troubling financial picture: the Club`s racing operation is losing heavily while non-racing activities increasingly carry the burden. Sponsorship has become an important part of the equation, but its sustainability is uncertain in a sport that attracts diminishing publicity and commercial visibility. The numbers raise a larger question: is racing still financially viable as the core business of a Turf Club?
