Neil Darashah and Jockey Hindu Singh when questioned regarding the running and riding of PAULITE WARRIOR, the Trainer stated that he had instructed the Jockey to settle the gelding with the front runners after jump out and to do his best in the straight. The Jockey corroborated the Trainer’s instructions. The Jockey further stated that he did not realise that his mount had taken an extraordinary long lead in the race and on entering the straight the gelding could do no better than finishing where it did. The Stipendiary Steward not being satisfied with the explanations of Jockey Hindu Singh decided to fine him a sum of Rs. 25,000/ for riding an illjudged race which had an eventual bearing on its placing. |
