Echoes of Time Delivers a Late Bolt to Floor Brocade
04-Sep-2025: Pradeep Annaiah’s Echoes of Time has always worn the “promising colt” badge but occasionally misplaced. He had earlier strutted around Chennai with two wins, even toppling Mumbai challenger Merlet—who later proved her worth by winning at Pune and the Fillies Championship Stakes at Kolkata. At Bangalore in summer, Echoes resurfaced after a longish vacation, ran second to Ice of Fire, and looked fit and fine perhaps overcoming the “niggles.”

Raise A Buck Keeps the Cash Register Ringing
05-Sep-2025: Rakesh-trained Raise A Buck, the Mysore specialist stretched his record to eight wins from 14 starts, casually brushing aside a bunch of Bangalore imports who strutted in with classic wins and bloated reputations. Anthony Raj, who was “jockey of the day” with three wins, delivered a peach of a ride, while poor Akshay Kumar seemed determined to prove that even African Gold can’t shine if you ride it like a Sunday bicycle.

Magnetic Turns Feature into Solo Parade
11-Sep-2025: Darius Byramji trained Magnetic made the 1600 metres Dennis & Yvonne Jarvis Memorial Cup, a race for horses rated 60 and above, the feature event of Thursday’s Mysore races, look like a private schooling exercise. Having sulked over 2000 metres last time, she found a mile much more to her liking and turned it into a one-horse race, leaving the rest looking like unpaid extras.

Splendid Dream Dwarfs Magnetar
12-Sep-2025: Sulaiman Attaollahi-trained Splendid Dream, who had barely shaken the champagne bubbles from her debut win last week, was tossed straight back into the deep end for the 1200 metres F K Irani Memorial Million 2025, a terms race for three-year-olds, the feature event of Friday’s Mysore races. Splendid Dream made the so-called seasoned rival Magnetar look like he had accidentally taken a wrong turn into the walking ring.

Arjun’s Treble the Lone Spark on a Lacklustre Day
18-Sep-2025: If Mysore racing were served on a plate, Thursday’s fare was nothing more than watery sambar gone cold — bland, limp, and entirely forgettable. Punters arrived hungry for action and left overdosed on drowsiness. The only man grinning was Arjun Mangalorkar, who helped himself to a treble while the rest of us wondered if we had watched a race meeting or just an extended practice gallop in public view.

Maharaja`s Cup Belongs to Mayne Magic
19-Sep-2025: Mayne Magic extended his remarkable winning streak with a fluent victory in the Gr 2 Maharaja’s Cup at Mysore on Friday, while jockey Anthony Raj underlined his fine form with a well-deserved treble. Trained by Kishan Thomas, Mayne Magic pulled off what can only be described as serial winning behaviour—his seventh straight victory, graduating into graded company in fine style. Already boasting six wins on the trot, the son of Moonlight Magic didn’t just extend his streak, he did it the hard way—fending off strong challengers.

Anthony Raj Turns Beauty into a Beast in the Guineas
26-Sep-2025: Anthony Raj must be wondering why jockeys don’t get frequent flier miles for their victories—because the way he’s soaring this season, he’d be a platinum member by now. His latest triumph aboard Prasanna Kumar’s Ravishing Beauty in the Gr 2 Mysore 1000 Guineas wasn’t just a win; it was an emphatic announcement that he’s officially graduated into the elite club of Indian jockeys.

Echoes of Time Rings Loud in Mysore 2000 Guineas
03-Oct-2025: Trainer Pradeep Annaiah hit the high note of his career when Echoes of Time tuned perfectly to capture the Gr 3 Mysore 2000 Guineas — the season’s second classic — with the sort of authority that makes rivals look like background noise. The colt, a half-sister to the celebrated Adjudicate (remember her twin Invitation Cup triumphs?), looks every inch a Derby contender. He’s got breeding that whispers stamina and an engine that roars performance.

Ocean Drifts to an Easy Win on a Dull Day
09-Oct-2025: If there were awards for boredom, Thursday’s Mysore races would’ve swept the card. Six events came and went with the enthusiasm of a Monday morning meeting, and the so-called feature—the Hotel RRR Trophy—was a one-horse affair. Ocean simply coasted from start to finish without a challenger in sight. The rest of the day followed suit, offering little by way of suspense, competition, or even mild excitement.

Meropi Turns Sprint into Solo Affair
16-Oct-2025: The Mysore Dasara Sprint Championship turned out to be less a race and more a live demonstration of Meropi’s sheer arrogance in motion. Trainer Aashay Doctor’s star sprinter toyed with her rivals before strolling home as if on a morning canter, leaving the rest to debate who came second in her shadow. It was domination so effortless, even the stopwatch looked embarrassed to record it.

Sea The Sun Shines Brightest in Governor`s Cup
17-Oct-2025: The Governor’s Cup Day at Mysore had everything — drama, daylight margins, and a horse named Sea The Sun who decided to outshine the favourite Magnetic. From Drisana’s last-gasp surge to D Fronx’s demolition job and Star Studded’s solo exhibition, the afternoon had more twists than a turf club rumour mill. Even Mescalito added comic relief by nearly refusing to leave the gates. Racing — Mysore style — never disappoints!

Rock Bank Too Good in Leelavathi Devi Memorial
25-Oct-2025: Prasanna Kumar’s Rock Bank justified his status as a heavily-backed favourite with a fluent performance in the 1600 metres Rajakumari Leelavathi Devi Memorial Trophy, the feature event of Thursday’s Mysore races. Returning to action after a 50-day break, Rock Bank was sent on a start-to-finish mission and never looked in danger. He shrugged off the late challenge of Touch of Grey, while Magnetic weakened to finish third.
Shamrock`s Back-to-Back Brilliance as Suraj Excels
25-Oct-2025: Derby eve racing day at Mysore had everything that makes racing the great leveller it is, a few masterstrokes and enough drama to keep punters interested. Shamrock once again proved that form and flair can outweigh kilos, while favourites fell like autumn leaves. Apprentice riders stole thunder, veterans plotted comebacks, and the winners separated by whiskers. Racing, in short, was unpredictable and kept the punters engaged.

Punters Rollercoaster on Derby Day
26-Oct-2025: Derby Day at Mysore turned into a real-life game of snakes and ladders, with punters climbing hopefully only to come crashing down moments later. Outsiders ruled, favourites flopped, and wallets took a merciless beating. Aditya-trained Gold Kite set the tone for the chaos, flying home to stun the field in the Bangalore Turf Club Trophy and leaving punters wondering how their sure things had turned into spectacular stumbles.
Miracle Star Scripts an Emotional Derby Finale
26-Oct-2025: The Gr 1 Mysore Derby turned into an emotional spectacle as Miracle Star scripted a fairy-tale victory — a moving tribute to the late master trainer S Padmanabhan, who had meticulously prepared her for the classic before his untimely passing. Guided by Suraj Narredu, the filly delivered a breathtaking seven-length win, fulfilling her trainer’s final dream and leaving the Mysore crowd misty-eyed in a moment of racing immortality.
