 BORN TO BE SPOILT was slowly away losing about 67 lengthts at the start. Trainer Rutherford Alford was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the Starter at a Barrier Trial. Jockey Vinod Shinde (BORN TO BE SPOILT) was observed to have whipped his mount much above the permissible limit. The jockey was fined a sum of Rs 3000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st infringement). He was further fined a sum of Rs 10000/ for the indiscriminate use of the whip (25 times) and advised to use his professional judgment better in future to avoid further disciplinary action.

 Jockey Vinay Jaiswal when questioned, stated that he was instructed to position his mount RESPLENDENCE in 3rd/ 4th place and do his best in the straight. He placed his mount on the rails behind the front runner soon after jump out but the other runners passed him from the outside and he was in close attendance to them, he brought his mount the shortest way home but could only finish second, was noted.

Priceless Prince
 PRICELESS PRINCE was fractious while being saddled and hurt itself on the left knee. The gelding was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and Trainer Ritesh E K was advised not to accept with his charge until passed fit.
