Sabeel Shariff and Jockey Vishal N Bunde when questioned regarding the running and riding of LAHINA, the Trainer stated that he had instructed the Jockey to take a good jump, place in 3rd/4th position, to ride the mare in the pattern of its running which likes to come from behind as he had ridden the mare earlier also in the similar manner and to do his best. The Jockey corroborated the Trainer’s instructions and stated that despite his urgings his mount was not responding, possibly as it was carrying top weight. Further, the Veterinary Officer reported that LAHINA returned lame on its left fore. As such the explanations were noted and Tr. Sabeel Shariff was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer. |
