An objection was lodged by Jockey Md Sameer, the rider of BLACKSTONE placed 3rd by the Judge against App Vinit V Chavan, the rider of PANTAZI placed 2nd, on the grounds of “after jump out passing the 100 metres PANTAZI came in sharply for which he had to check his ride and his mount stumbled which cost him the race”. The Stewards after interviewing Jockey Md Sameer and App Vinit V Chavan along with his Master Trainer Ms. Arti Doctor, viewing the CCTV replay of the race and taking into consideration the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards, decided to overrule the objection and let the Judge’s placings remain unaltered. The “All Clear” signal was ordered to be hoisted. The Stipendiary Stewards enquired into the reason why Jockey Md Sameer rode his mount BLACKSTONE onto PANTAZI on his outside for some distance after the jump out. The Jockey stated that he wanted to take a good jump and be well up with the other two runners. The rider accepted that in his eagerness to do so he inadvertently may have inconvenienced PANTAZI on his outside. Not being satisfied with the explanations tendered, the Stipendiary Stewards decided to suspend Jockey Md Sameer from riding in races on 2nd September and 9th September, 2026 for improper riding. The Jockey was further advised that like repetition would entail him to severe disciplinary action.
