| In mid field till 1000, then improved to be 3rd till turn, snatched lead, soon outpacedIncidents: At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards Enquiry was held in this race. The reason being, at about 300 metres MINT APPROACH (S.John, Placed Fourth) shifted in on to SHEER CLASS (Imran Chisty) who in turn shifted in and jostled with AMELIA (S.Zervan) who was unbalanced and fell, dislodging the rider. The Stewards after the last race interviewed Jockey S.John for careless riding on his mount MINT APPROACH and having heard him, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him. The Stewards noted that his Jockey’s license already stands suspended up to 3rd January, 2014 under B.T.C., Ltd. Rules of Racing. Therefore, they decided to further suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 5th January, 2014 to 9th January, 2014 (both days inclusive) for careless riding on MINT APPROACH (permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, he was severely cautioned for the future. |
