| 8th till 1000, then positioned at the tail end of the field till turning for home, started galloping after the race was over was; was asked to do too much in the straight; rider suspended for incompetent ridingIncidents: Trainer M.Narredu and Jockey Jockey B.Sreekanth were questioned regarding the running and riding of BE SAFE. Trainer M.Narredu said that he had instructed the Jockey to settle the horse on the inside and coming into the straight, pull the horse out and make his move. Jockey B.Sreekanth confirmed the instructions and added that on jump out, ERAGON (David Allan, dr.10) took him out and he immediately corrected his mount and settled him on the inside and coming into the straight he pulled the horse out and did his best and it was bad luck that he lost the race. When asked as to why he did not use the whip at the top of the straight as a reminder, he said that since the horse was moving well he did not require to use the whip. The matter was reported to the Stewards for such action as deemed fit. |
