| Sprinted ahead, led till turn and lost pace raising many eyebrowsIncidents: MINE FOREVER (S.Zervan) was reluctant to be stalled. NEPTUNE’S OCEAN (App.K.N.Bhati) jumped out throwing its head thereby losing about 6 lengths at the start. Trainers P.Shroff and Mansoor Shah has been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Trainer P.Shroff when questioned with regard to the poor performance of MINE FOREVER. He stated that the filly was very excited in the Saddling Enclosure as well as on her way to the Starting Gates. He had instructed the Jockey to settle her as horses going to the front have not been performing on this day. After the start, the filly found herself in front and there was nothing much that the Jockey could do. Further, the track may not have suited the filly and therefore she may have performed poorly. The explanation was noted. |
