Since the horse was lugging in and the whip was used as corrective measure, no action was initiated in the matter. | Incidents: An objection was lodged by Jockey A.Sandesh, rider of STRAWBERRY CRUSH (Placed Second) against FIREPROOF (C.S.Jodha, Placed First). The reason being, at about 200 metres, FIREPROOF shifted in from the centre of the track and came on to him, whereby he had to stop riding, check his mount and pull him out, which cost him the race. After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to overrule the objection. |
