| 8th till turn, came like a tracer bullet through the middle to thump them all inside the last 50m for an enchanting victoryIncidents: At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards’ Enquiry was held in this race. The reason being, in the last 100 metres, in an effort to take a gap, GREGORIAN CHANTS (J. Chinoy, Placed First) had shifted in and bumped TRAVIESO (N. S. Parmar) and this incident nearly caused an accident, which was considered to be dangerous riding. The Stewards after the last race interviewed Jockey J. Chinoy for dangerous riding on GREGORIAN CHANTS. Having heard Jockey J. Chinoy and viewing the video of the race, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and decided to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 25th September, 2016 to 21st October, 2016 (both days inclusive) for dangerous riding on GREGORIAN CHANTS (permitted to ride work/mock race). |
