| 3rd till 800, then 2nd till turn, tried hard along the fence outwitted; lodged a unsuccessful objection against the Lady In LaceIncidents: An objection was lodged by Jockey S.Zervan, the rider of AUBURN (Placed Third) against LADY IN LACE (P.Trevor, placed Second). The reason being, passing the two furlongs, at approximately furlong and a half he got his filly galloping and she got into a good rhythm and LADY IN LACE (P.Trevor) who was on his outside, came in and touched his horse, due to which his filly got unbalanced, lost her momentum and dropped back by about 3 lengths behind LADY IN LACE and thereafter came back, covered ground and finished third, a shorthead behind LADY IN LACE and this cost him the 2nd place. |
