At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards Enquiry was held immediately after the Race, with particular reference to the Start of the Race, where Jockey K Sai Kiran, the rider of BHRIGU (Drawn – 5) reported that he was not ready on his mount, when the Start of the Race was given. The Stewards examined Jockey K Sai Kiran as well as the Starters, Mr. Kiran M and Mr. Shanmukha Swamy. After repeatedly watching the CCTV replay of the Start of the Race and after due enquiry, they decided that the horse, BHRIGU reared up, just as the Start was effected and that it was purely accidental. Taking this into consideration and that of the opinion of the Stipendiary Stewards, the Stewards decided that there shall be no changes in the Judges’ placings, in the above Race. |

MAYBURY (S Saqlain) was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that on examination of the mouth of the horse revealed sharp molars. Hence Trainer Mr. M Bobby was fined Rs.3,000/ for his negligence (1st infringement). |

After due enquiry and after repeatedly watching the CCTV footage of the above Race the Stipendiary Stewards decided to a) Fine Jockey J Paswan Rs.5,000/ for not making sufficient effort to improve his position throughout the Race and for not infusing sufficient vigour in riding out his mount, in the closing stages of the Race; and b) Fine Trainer Mr. Vinesh V Naik Rs. 5,000/ for the unsatisfactory running of his charge, MY ONE AND ONLY and for the unsatisfactory explanation tendered by him during the enquiry. Both the Trainer and the Jockey were cautioned that a repetition of a similar manner of running and riding in future would entail them being reported to the Stewards for appropriate action. |
