| | As Jockey Arshad Alam, the declared rider of HEROISM, failed the prerace breathalyzer test, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa to substitute Jockey Shreyas Singh to ride HEROISM, in place of Jockey Arshad Alam, the declared rider. The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey, Arshad Alam, the rider of HEROISM, to the Stewards for breach of Rule No. 101 (iii) read with Calendar Notification of the Racing Calendar of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., Rules of Racing, under the heading “ALCOHOL TESTING FOR RIDERS”, in that, he failed the prerace Breathalyzer Test [33 mg/100 ml as against the prescribed threshold limit of 30 mg/100 ml]. the Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the last Race and examined Jockey Arshad Alam. After due enquiry, the Stewards decided to suspend the Jockey’s License granted to Jockey Arshad Alam from 08102023 to 13102023 [both days inclusive, for breach of Rule No. 101 (iii) read with Calendar Notification of the Racing Calendar of the Mysore Race Club Rules of Racing, under the heading “ALCOHOL TESTING FOR RIDERS”. Jockey Arshad Alam was informed that he can ride work and was also informed of his right to appeal. |
