B Mahesh and Jockey R Vaibhav when questioned regarding the running and riding of LA DOMINATE, the trainer stated that his instructions to Jockey R Vaibhav (LA DOMINATE) were to take a good jump, place the horse 2 – 3 lengths behind the front runners, take a cover, not to push hard since it was a seven furlong race and even if he was sitting last no problem but to make his move approaching the bend and do his best. The Jockey corroborated the Trainer’s instructions. The Stipendiary Stewards noted their explanations. However, Tr. B Mahesh was instructed to ensure that his charge is run and ridden in a similar manner in its future outings. |

He further stated that as the mare was allowed to take a long lead, it had nothing much left to offer on entering the straight. Jockey Hasib Alam stated that he followed the Trainer’s instructions but did not realise that his charge had taken an unduly long lead as his mount was travelling well within itself but did not have much to offer in the final run, was noted. |
